26 Thai Sushi and Bar (Brookhaven)

Absolutely hands down the best Thai food EVER. Every single dish they offer is outstanding. I order this on Uber Eats or come to the restaurant once a week and always have an exceptional experience/meal. Couldn’t recommend more!

This place is delish. My parents get sushi and Thai here all the time and occasionally me and my boyfriend get to drag along with them. I love it. The food is fabulous.

$12 for 8 piece salmon roll. At Ru Sans 6 piece salmon roll is $5. The Ru Sans salmon roll has bigger pieces of salmon. Recommend Ru Sans for less cost but better quality.

Hands down the best coconut soup in the city! Food is always fresh, I have never had a bad meal here.

Best dang massaman curry I have ever had, hands down. And everything else I've ever had from there has been delicious as well. ❤️

The ambience within itself was quite surprising. Even though the restaurant was empty,, the prep and the cocktails rated five stars. Remember you don't need a party to enjoy music.

The Thai food was excellent. Instead of trying to change up traditional Thai cuisine, they just make it well with good ingredients and attention to spice levels desired by the guest. Pad Thai should taste like Pad Thai, not some weird concoction that they call Pad Thai where you sit there pondering what’s in it ticked off that you didn’t just get stinkin’ Pad Thai :) This restaurant gets that and did a great job.

The salads were very fresh. The appetizers were perfect portions and a good combination of tradition with a few unique selections. The drink selection was pretty good. However, the sushi was fantastic. I was caught off guard by how good it was. Not that there was anything wrong with the restaurant, but often at Thai places sushi is a bit of an afterthought. The quality rivals some of the better sushi spots in town. The rice had a perfect balance of sweetness with a quality vinegar. The fish was flavorful. The knife work and presentation were very good. Most importantly, it was served at the proper temperature. They did not serve ice cold sushi in an effort to mask poor quality like other restaurants.

The decor and furniture are new and tasteful. The service is excellent. Our server was kind, attentive, and engaging without being overbearing.

The ONLY reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that your hosts are terrible. Just awful. If you want to be an upper mid tier restaurant that expects its guests to drop a couple of hundred dollars on dinner and drinks you cannot greet them with surly hosts. Moreover you cannot allow them to show up to work in hoodies, sweatpants, and sneakers. And that’s not on the college kids you’ve got working there. Heck, if I could get away with wearing sweats to the office, you bet I would! If you treat your guests like they’re next in line at a pizza joint, that’s how they’ll treat your restaurant. You can’t cheap out on the host.
