Food was homemade, delicious..we got there late as we were traveling through & we were not hurried at all. Meaghan was wonderful as our waitress, we are going back for sure. Bringing Maine to

Excellent breakfast and lunch location. Food was delicious and very filling. Staff was/is very friendly and service was quick. This is a family run diner that will quickly turn into a favorite place for breakfast or lunch. Prices are fair. Just go there and see for yourself.
Very simple diner with a bizarre mixture of welcoming but also we want you to hurry up and get out of here feel. The food is about what you'd expect from a small town diner. It's fine. The people were incredibly welcoming and friendly. The downside was you're served on a disposable dish and given plastic cutlery. That part is not welcoming in the slightest and it overpowered everything else for me.

We love visiting mom and pop restaurants, especially when we travel. There weren't many to choose from that sold breakfast all day, we got there around noon for breakfast. Maggie Mae's certainly has the feel of a small town diner with the friendly service and a lot of locals eating there (police, firemen, city hall workers and citizens). Maggie herself was working and stopped by to make sure our food met our expectations and we had all we need. The service was great and each server made us feel like we belonged there. The food was great and all we expected. We got it fairly quick considering how busy it got and only 2 cooks. It was hot and tasty. I really liked my loaded home fries. Not necessarily a bad thing but everything was served in/on disposable plates/cups, except for the coffee cup. The city water tastes somewhat like ocean water but it was tolerable if you're thirsty. My only suggestion would be (certainly wouldn't prevent me from visiting again if I come through town again) to hang some pics/decor on the walls, they were all plain white. I would also get some cozier feeling seating (tables & chairs). The place lacked character bc of its simplicity. Most tables were 6 tops so some folks shared tables with other small parties, which was cool.

Outstanding breakfast menu, especially the corned beef hash and grits.
My husband and I wanted to try a different place for breakfast. We were not disappointed! Eggs, grits, sausage, with a side of hashbrowns and biscuit and gravy for our meals. Super good! A wonderful Southern homestyle meal. It was served on styrofoam and plasticware but will take that if it keeps prices decent (which they were). We will go again if we get the opportunity.
