The view was very good on the deck overlooking a shrimp boat on the inter coastal waterway. The service was very attentive. My wife’s fried shrimp was excellent. Her mixed-vegetable side was average. My blackened grouper sandwich was tasty but a little fishy. Grouper in my understanding does not have a fishy taste. The spuds were quite tasty. The price was slightly more costly than it should have been. I had hoped for an outstanding lunch.
Food is always good. Servers are always nice. I enjoy going here often.

My husband and I were recommended to the place by a friend that lives local. It was a beautiful sunny day with a slight breeze and perfect temps in the 70’s. We loved the idea that we could sit and overlook the beautiful marsh. When we arrived, we were greeted by the hostess Brayla. She started to seat us inside so we asked if we could sit outside in the patio since it was a perfect day for it and there were a few empty tables. She said no but could put us near a window. I reluctantly followed her to a table that was not really next to a window and was a high top table near the back corner. The place was very busy. We were immediately greeted with a friendly smile by our waitress, Ciera who took our drink order. While we sat, I kept noticing that there was plenty of available seating on the patio and people enjoying the outdoors. I was confused that we too could not be seated out there. I went back to the hostess stand where I asked Brayla, if the tables out in the patio were reserved for someone since there were at least 4 empty tables. She said there were people waiting for those tables and that two of the large picnic tables were not service tables. Huh??? Okay. I went back and had a seat and watched the patio empty out even more. When our waitress came back, I asked why other people could sit outside and we were denied. She went to look and see if there was anyone “waiting” and there wasn’t. She offered to let us sit at the picnic tables and told us she would bring our food out to us. We were genuinely impressed by Ciera’s want to accommodate our request. I would have given 5 stars and especially in the service rating if it weren’t for this strange, non-accommodating hostess who didn’t offer any options other than the word “no” even though I went back and stressed the importance of our seating. Hopefully a manager will see this and help guide this young lady by offering alternative solutions to patrons with specific requests. One more thing, while sitting at the first table that was offered to us, I was almost hit in the face by a young man carrying a large circular tray of food around the corner, I turned my head slightly to look out at the marsh as the tray moved 3 inches past my eye. This could have been disastrous had a moved just an inch or so to the right, I would have been wearing three plates of food and possible had damage to my eye. Either way, the fact that we were able to sit in the patio and enjoy the great atmosphere made it worth it. The fish in the fish tacos was overcooked and a bit dry but the spuds were delicious and the waitress was friendly and thoughtful. We would definitely come back and try a different dish.

We are here for lunch and it was great! I had the fried shrimp with spuds. Delicious! My husband had the fried catfish basket and it was so good too. He also had the Bloody Mary with all the stuff. He said it was one of the best he's ever had. We highly recommend!

My first time here yes it’s a seafood restaurant. We just decided to stop and said let’s check it out. Well the host was very friendly and we were seated pretty quickly . We choose to eat outside the day was so pretty. The food arrived in a timely manner, presentation was great. The food itself was delicious. We had the Brunswick stew it was a delightful mix of chicken, pork, Lima beans, corn my husband loved it . Served with crackers . We also had shrimp and yes it was tasteful and crunchy and we had Lemon pepper chicken yes you could actually taste the lemon pepper the pierces were a good size and the portions were nice. Yes we will be coming back !! I would like to try the crab stew next.

Too bad I can’t give this a negative star review. Service was sub par and food was TERRIBLE. Fish and oysters were bland and aweful. Would not recommend this place to anyone looking for a good seafood or Brunswick experience.

Greta place, we’ve been going there for many many years. Back when it was still Spankys.
Was so good! 10/10 would recommend. Nice environment, good food, and great service. Not to mention the best margaritas! And the sweetest waitress MisTanny (spelling?)
Great sea food and the best onion rings. The staff is very polite. The prices are very reasonable. The outside side tables give you a great view of the marsh grass and the ocean. I have been eating there for 12 years .
We were seated immediately and waited on immediately. The food was hot, fresh, and delicious. It is a great place for families.

Not as good as I remembered from over a decade ago but still a good choice for lunch in Brunswick. Can get seafood baskets but not as cheap as I remembered and the portions are smaller than I remembered. Can get your seafood grilled, fried, or blackened. Has an outdoor deck that overlooks the marshes but there seemed to only be limited seating outside. The day we were here was not buggy at all but they may have big problems because they gave citronella candles on the tables and bottles of off spray by the doors. Sizeable indoor seating area with a bar. Kid friendly as there is a kids menu. Location is outside downtown Brunswick on the road towards the bridge and Jekyll Island, just south of the St. Simons causeway.
Not a fancy place, but the food is good. Shrimp PoBoy sandwich was enjoyed by my dad. Server was very friendly and efficient. Not a place for Gluten Intolerant people as the menu is not gluten free friendly as much of the food is breaded and fried.
Amazing shrimp, lots of shrimp but could use a little more cocktail sauce.
Favorites are Brunswick Stew, grilled veggies and grilled chicken fingers. We will be back soon!
Get the Chicken fingers, spuds and buffalo shrimp. You can't go wrong.
