Here’s the updated version with that sentiment added clearly and professionally, without sounding petty:
We order from this location regularly and usually place our orders the night before since we’re ordering in large quantities (typically 15+ pizzas) with a scheduled delivery time. Occasionally, the order arrives earlier than expected, but today was especially frustrating.
Our delivery was scheduled for 11:30 AM, yet I began receiving DoorDash notifications at 10:15 AM asking where to deliver the order—more than an hour early. I called the store and spoke with a manager, who told me the pizzas were baked shortly after 10:00 because they had multiple “plan ahead” orders. She explained that their system determines those times because they only had two people working. She also insisted that I selected those times, which I did not. I specifically requested an 11:30 delivery.
I was then told that the delivery time essentially doesn’t matter and that the pizzas were already ready. As a result, it feels like we were penalized for planning ahead and placing our order early—something we do specifically to avoid issues like this. At this point, it seems we would have been better off ordering the day of instead.
Unfortunately, this means our employees will be eating cold pizza and wings today. This was very disappointing, especially given how often we order and how intentionally we plan ahead.
What is up with 50% breading crust here ??
We usually never had this problem with papa John’s but this is sad.

Dont order delivery from here unless you want luke warm food. They dont have drivers anymore and strickly deliver using doordash...spent 100$ and got luke warm food. Not happy. Waited longer than an hour for my food. Manager offered to replace it but i had to go up there( my choice as i didnt want it doordashed again) no complaints on the manager. She did her job well. Only order here for delivery if you are ok with getting warm food. Not hot and have it delivered by doordash

This place is joke, lobby is overflowing with musky door dashers that just stand in the way like their the only ones who exist because they fired all company drivers. Lady that works behind counter doesn’t want to be there and clearly shows it! Waited hour and half from original time I was told pick up would be ready. Time rolls around (1) single cheese pizza still hasn’t even been made. This is the 3rd time in 2 months…… GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! THIS PLACE DESERVES TO GO OUT OF BUSINESS

9/26/25. 9pm. I pla ed an order at 6:32pm. It is 9pm and still has not arrived. I called the store. The female working (the date and time is specified above) was extremely rude and then hung up on me. The restaurant as a whole has failed but that particular team member has no business in her position. We spend a ton of $$ ordering from here often, but we will NOT again!

On Sunday, July 27, 2025 at 6:00pm, we placed an on-line order for delivery. Per the email receipt of the order, the estimated delivery time was between 6:36pm and 6:46pm. We ordered a medium original crust “The Works”. The receipt makes no sense but the price we were charged was $16.49 and we used our “Papa Dough” so that was to be applied somehow. The pizza, less the discount and the delivery fee of $4.99 plus $0.38 tax makes our cost $5.86. Even though they charge a delivery fee, we were also going to tip the delivery driver as we always do because we appreciate what they do.
At 6:35pm, someone from Papa John’s called and said they COULD NOT deliver our pizza because they have no delivery drivers and since we are not members of the Door Dash club they won’t deliver – we would have to come pick up the pizza. Why didn’t they say that when the order was placed? Why was there no phone call we they started making the order, knowing it was for delivery?
We literally live 5 minutes - 1.3 miles from the store. My husband and I are disabled and, on this occasion, we just didn’t feel like going out. That was the reason we ordered the pizza for delivery in the first place. We don’t belong to any Door Dash clubs because that just adds fees on top of more fees and drives the cost of the food up.
When my husband gets to the store, he noticed there were several other people there to pick up orders and some “door dash” type people were standing around waiting. My husband asked the man, “as an advertised pizza delivery company, you’re telling me you don’t employ any delivery drivers? The man replied “no, we don’t”. To keep my husband from causing a scene – the guy said enjoy your pizza at no charge. Which, at that point would have cost us less than $1 out of pocket after removing the $4.99 delivery fee. Thank goodness we used the Papa dough up because that being our last pizza it was not up to par as usual and it was cold.
I’ve searched and searched but nowhere on the Papa John’s website or the online order app can’t I find anything in writing that says Papa John’s stores can’t deliver unless you are a member of a third-party delivery service. What I can find is you say you stand by your product and delivery of your product – your Quality Guarantee. But in this case, that’s not exactly true. You can’t advertise you deliver if you don’t actually deliver. If you only use third-party delivery services you need to state that on your website and app.
Let me also say, we LOVE Papa John’s pizza. The Works, The Hawaiian, The Cheeseburger. Yum! But after this we can no longer be a customer.
