Not an Irish pub just another bar with green lights calling itself Irish. I was truly hopeful to have an authentic Irish pub down the street from my house.

After living in Buford for 24 years we finally have a truly authentic “taste of home” that serves excellent food!
It was our first visit today and we most certainly will be back (probably much more than we should :-)!)
Fish n chips
Bangers n mash
Scotch eggs
We’re all truly excellent and being an expat I should know ;-)
Hope Jim, Megs and their team are here for many years to come…. They absolutely should be based on our visit today!!

Had Sunday lunch at Coakley’s. The bar service was solid and the food was decent. The atmosphere leans more “local dive bar” than traditional Irish pub, but still a relaxed spot if you’re just looking to hang out.

The food sucks they don’t know what in the hell they’re doing. The shepherd pie was the worst attempt I’ve ever seen, tasted, and the corn beef was the blandest and toughest corn beef I’ve ever had almost like in came out of a can. The wings were like baked wings cooled then flash fried chewy and just another disappointment. The celery and carrots with the wings were old and flimsy. I was hopeful to have a good Irish pub around me but this place makes me sad to be Irish. And the Guinness was poured wrong both times. Way over priced for the portion and quality.

Technically I can’t review the service or atmosphere bc I wasn’t there. My husband placed the order and brought it home. But I’m still giving 1 start bc of how terrible the food was. Crazy expensive and such small portion. Absolutely no flavor. My husband and I were actually appalled. The amount of grease in the shepards pie was just gross. The absolute blandness of the corned beef was astounding. Literally why even bother? Oh and the shapers pie was $22, the corned beef was $20. This place will close just like Shazzy’s. We’ll never go back.

Happy that there is now an Irish pub close by! The food was great, servers were extremely friendly and the atmosphere was laid back. We will definitely be back and looking forward to future visits to try out other dishes!
Definitely recommend the shepherd's pie, Guinness beef stew, and the Reuben(AKA the hangover).

Very good. Attentive friendly upbeat staff, good atmosphere, clean establishment. Safe environment people seem to look out for each other here. No craziness. Nice small town lake vibe.

Was super excited to try Coakleys when it opened! I tried the shepherds pie and it was so delicious so I definitely have to go back and try the other Irish pub fare from the menu. All of the staff are very friendly and attentive.
