Mambo's Cafe - Buford

The food was 10/10, atmosphere was amazing. All the servers were helpful. You can really tell they work as a family. Will definitely return whenever I’m in town.

My food was so spicy and I like hot and spicy food. I ordered a vegetarian option. It had a lot of onion and bell pepper in it. For me, those are cheap fillers. It had very little broccoli or cauliflower. I think the carrots may have been previously frozen. It just wasn't good. I could've mentioned it to our server, but we barely saw her. It took her 10 minutes to greet us. Luckily, we got our water right away. Then it was at least 20 minutes before we saw her again. Our food was brought out by someone else. I assume a food runner. The server did check in quickly to make sure we had everything. Then we didn't see her for almost 30 minutes. I don't think it was entirely her fault. This must be a restaurant that rotates the tables as they come in instead of assigning a station. Service always suffers when that's done. PLUS, the band was so LOUD! My dinner partner and I had to shout to carry on our conversation. I would've like to have left earlier, but, as mentioned earlier, we barely saw our server. I had a headache by the time I left. I will say my dining partner did like their food. It was a steak. And she brought me here because she's enjoyed the restaurant a few times. I don't think I'll go back. Too many other options around the area.

This is a favorite go-to for lunch meetings. I have never had a disappointed guest. The lunch churrasco is my go-to and recommendation... And it always comes back with rave reviews. On one occasion, I took a Cuban friend... He swore was the best he had since Miami. I've seen him in with his family a couple of times since. If that isn't a compliment and testament to the food, nothing is!

The service was lousy. I asked for extra bread because the planktons were bad. They said they couldn’t provide extra bread without Charging $3.75. I asked for the manager, who said they didn’t give extra bread because bread cost a lot. His name was Trey. First and last time eating here.

There was a spider in my ceviche!!
I wanted to try it out because I was craving Peruvian food decided to come to this restaurant. It took my server 15 minutes for her to attend us. I understand she was busy however I was trying to make contact with every person that worked there and still nothing I ordered three dishes. The first one was the ceviche which had a spider in it. I didn’t get a picture of the small black spider it had bc i was shocked & wanted to throw up. 🤢 thank God I looked at my plate before I ate it. The manager did take the playoff and offered me a different dish. However, I was disgusted at the fact that there was a spider so I didn’t order anything else.
Hopefully it doesn’t happen to anyone else.

Three stars because the live music was way too loud. I was there with a group for dinner and the music was so loud, we stuffed napkins in our ears. The food was good, but had there just been a few of us, we would have left because of the music. I will say, the band was excellent but their volume detracted from their talent.

I've been here twice now and both times it has been amazing. We had a large group and made reservations ahead of time, they seated us promptly and the experience and food is amazing. They even wrote happy birthday in chocolate sauce for my friends birthday dessert

Food is great but the damn extremely loud Friday live music killed the vibe people walking out or covering their ears so they talk to a person next to them is ridiculous you literally cannon enjoy or hear yourself here and why so damn loud
