Suthern Cluck Chicken and Waffle

I wish I could give 7 stars. It was so good and the tenders were super crispy and hot. The staff was surprisingly extremely friendly. But the best part was the pecan cheesecake pie. Recommend 10 out of 10.

This was a hidden gem! I found this place on google, as I wanted to try something new and it did not disappoint. The place was quaint, very clean, and the staff was extremely welcoming. The owner actually made her way to our table to meet/great and check to see if the food was to our satisfaction. Prior to ordering, I asked for a recommendation for my meal as I was not in the mood for just chicken& waffles. I was advised the fried turkey wings was a must-have! I ordered the turkey wings with a side of Mac&cheese and collard greens. The turkey wings were fried to perfection and came with this one of a kind sauce (yummy!). The mac& cheese was homemade and tasty just like I like it and the collards were tasty as well. Because I often like to channel my inner hungry girl, I also ordered a side of fried okra which was cooked to perfection. I also ordered 2 red velvet cupcakes (with nuts) to go. Those homemade cupcakes were so moist and downright ridiculous. My 10year old son and I were looking so disappointed that we did not get a backup cupcake... definitely worth the drive and definitely on the repeat list.

Took our team of eight here after a very long day of cooking at a competitive BBQ festival nearby. We handed the reins over to Charlene, the owner, since we were exhausted from serving others all day. She really took such good care of us. Fried turkey legs, fried chicken, catfish, okra, turnip greens, Mac and cheese, green beans, baked beans, cornbread, waffles, and more. Everything was pure love - hot, fresh, and delicious. It’s clear that Charlene cares deeply about her establishment and her guests. Can’t recommend Suthern Cluck enough. This place is a gem, as is Charlene. We’ll be back next year!

Friendly, clean, and inviting atmosphere. Staff were extremely kind and knowledgeable. The menu was a little hard to navigate at the kiosk but staff was there to assist. Food was good.

Sharlene and the Southern Cluck family provide AMAZING food and family friendly service. The chicken and waffles were spectacular, juicy, and delicious! Since everything is freshly fried to order, I left with bagS of goodness!

Visit this restaurant and it was clean and inviting. The young lady at the front was nice. The food was cooked to order hot and fresh. We had the chicken and waffles but they offer a variety of menu options. If you prefer a dense thick waffle you may enjoy their waffles. The chicken was seasoned pretty good but the skin was thick and fried really hard. The pricing was comparable to other sit down breakfast/brunch spots in the area $16 for 3 pieces of fried chicken and 2 pieces of waffles.

I would try this spot again but go with a different menu selection.

Five stars because the food deserves six. It's like a gourmet fast food place. Nothing fast about it, but the quality is exactly what you would want to serve in your own home. Fresh and tender chicken tenders and thick satisfying strawberry shortcake like waffles. It is definitely made with love. You just have to get past the online ordering, pay in advance, metal tabes, long wait, self clean up, no water for the table parts to appreciate what it does right. Can't wait to try the other menu items, like the oxtail on Saturdays.

Suthern Cluck serves up some of the best soul food I’ve had in ages—hands down. From the moment I took a bite, it felt like I was back at Grandma’s kitchen table. The candied yams? Pure perfection. And the turnip greens somehow managed to outshine even Grandma’s recipe (sorry, Grandma!).

Now let’s talk about those oxtails and ribs—fall-off-the-bone tender and bursting with flavor. This spot is a true hidden treasure right here in Buford. Usually, you’d have to head into the city for food this good, but Suthern Cluck brings that rich, comforting southern home cooking right to your backyard.

If you haven’t been yet, you’re seriously missing out.
