Service was terrible, music way too loud and explicit. Food was undercooked and distasteful.

The jerk chicken AND curry was full of little bones. The rice was hard and the greens were way too sweet. Looked nothing like the pictures and Im betting they paid for the good reviews. This was a terrible experience. The staff was rude and acted like it was a bother for us to be there

Man I ordered salmon pasta and strawberry cake. First off, the salmon was overcooked and look nothing like it was advertised. The pasta was ok, at best. The cake tasted like it was freezer burned. It was awful. I threw that away. I wastes over 40 dollars for this, highly disappointed

Amazing vegan food!! I got the Curry Chicken with vegan Mac. The peanut butter chocolate cake was very good. Must try regardless if you’re vegan or not!

I'm soooo happy to have discovered this place on my way to Florida. Thank you for being open on Christmas Eve and serving healthy delicious food! The smoothie bowls and wraps were delicious and Ms. Debra was very kind!
Thank you so much. Much love! ✌️😁

The jerk vegan chicken was delicious but it isn’t a place you stop for a quick meal as it really took an usually long time to wait! We also had a good salad butcc CD we’re surprised it was a bottled not homemade dressing. It was a great variety as a salad but store bought dressing took it down several notches. The music was very loud and I asked to turn it down and they did for awhile but it got even louder as we were there. Good vegan jerked 14,50 lunch special but long waits and loud music took away from our idea of a counter carry out restaurant. .
Very tasty! Curry chicken patty was a first for me and would get it again. The jerk chicken was delicious 🤤…. Rice and beans, Rasta pasta all delicious. First time I ate the entire meal within 24 hrs. In a long time. Everything tasted fresh and made with love. (Also spicy, just how I like it! 😉 🥵 Thanks, I will def be back!

The atmosphere and service were good. However, the food leaves a lot to be desired. I spent $47 hoping the 4.5-star review they currently hold was accurate. Unfortunately, I can only give it a 2-star rating for food. My rice was hard and soft..how that happens idk. I brought two separate dishes brown stew snapper and jerk chicken: the fish was bland, fried nicely but bland and the sauce it was in was not brown stew. I was disappointed by this dish. The cabbage wasn't good and the Mac n cheese was different but ok. I also had the jerk chicken it was good more flavourful, but the rice was hard and soft. Maybe their vegan options are better. However, I wouldn't go back.

Crooklyn Roots – Hands down the BEST Jamaican restaurant in Middle Georgia!
I’m usually the type who never eats at the same restaurant more than once a month—definitely not in the same week. But I found myself at Crooklyn Roots three times in one week, and every single meal was out-of-this-world amazing.
My go-to is the large curry goat plate with collard greens and rice & peas—goat meat, bold flavors, and perfectly seasoned every time. On my third visit, I decided to switch things up and tried their mac and cheese, and let me tell you... it’s a slice of heaven on a plate. Creamy, cheesy, and seasoned to absolute perfection.
If you’re anywhere near Middle Georgia, do yourself a favor and bless your life by visiting Crooklyn Roots. The food, flavor, and experience are unforgettable. I’ve already broken my no-repeat rule—and trust me, I’ll be back... again and again! The Mac @ Chesse Lady.

I love that my entire family came here and was able to eat some of us are raw plant based, vegan and don’t eat processed regular meat. We were all able to come here and eat! One side is vegan vegetarian the other side is regular processed meat based.

Delicious Jamaican food! So happy there is a location here in Byron. I normally go to the one in Macon but now that I’m no longer going to school there I don’t have a reason to go to Macon. It was a delightful to find out that after I graduated I would still get the same delicious Jamaican food closer to my home.
