8/16/2025 when I got home I realized they had over charged me. I looked at my receipt and saw where I paid for someone else food . I call in I order mullet plate with fries and coleslaw, I ordered 12 chicken gizzards and coleslaw slaw. My card was charged $40.25 when I got home I realized they had added order wings I didn’t order and the wings was for another person . Too many people walking around. I was hurt. Paying for someone else food. My fish was fried too hard.

My family of seven just went and spent $80 for over half the food to be left uneaten. The dip strips were so soggy. My boyfriend and I couldn’t stand it. The portions were so small I felt completely ripped off.

The restaurant itself is very old and very rustic, but clean. There are always plenty of employees and they are very friendly. The reason to come here, though, is their fried chicken. To me, this is the best fried chicken I have ever eaten. The batter is light and crispy, and the chicken is hot and juicy. I had a side of mashed potatoes and gravy, and they may be the best I have eaten, too. Great food, reasonable price, rustic atmosphere. What's not to love.
Food was good. The mac n cheese leaves a little too be desired. The first cup of tea I had was hardly sweet, and the second gave me diabeetus. Customer service was phenomenal. Always enjoy stopping by once or twice a year.

$13 hamburger — called it in at 12:10 had to end up going inside to get it after waiting until 12:45 out front. The service is constantly going down hill and it sucks because we have 4 places to choose from in town.. I always have to ask for crispy fries because the fries are always soggy now

Hadn’t had Mr. Chick in years, but decided to give it a try since I was in town for Independence Day weekend! I ended up ordering chicken tenders, fries and a Pepsi. The taste of the food was decent, however the prices have increased drastically since the last time I was there and it appears the portion sizes have decreased. I wish they had combo meal options as opposed to purchasing everything separately (i.e. Hot Wings). The slice of chocolate cake was delicious ($4.00), therefore, overall - I would recommend giving this local business a shot! You MAY not be disappointed! 💪🏽

I have stopped at Mr. Chick every time I visit Cairo going on 25 plus years. The food is always fantastic and reasonably priced. The staff has always been very friendly while providing fast service. Their food is always fresh and delicious. Yes, you may have to stand in line to order a little longer during rush hours, but I don't mind because a lot of people eat there. If a lot of people are eating there, that's a statement in itself.
