I have stopped at Mr. Chick every time I visit Cairo going on 25 plus years. The food is always fantastic and reasonably priced. The staff has always been very friendly while providing fast service. Their food is always fresh and delicious. Yes, you may have to stand in line to order a little longer during rush hours, but I don't mind because a lot of people eat there. If a lot of people are eating there, that's a statement in itself.

My experience was not pleasing at all. I ordered the 4 piece mixed. No breast at all. They tried to give me something that looked like a breast but wasn’t. Pieces were so small I had to lift up the 2 pieces on top to see if they gave me 4 pieces. They were fried to hard. I got no fries that I ordered instead they gave me a large coleslaw that I was charged for and didn’t order. I ordered a salad and got 2 packs of crackers only and was charged .10 each. Sad and disgusted experience. I should have went to the other restaurant that has wonderful tasting chicken.

It was our first time eating at Mr. Chick’s. We ordered a spicy chicken sandwich and a grouper sandwich. They were both delicious. We liked how light the batter was. We look forward to trying new things next time we go.

This is a restaurant that you walk in and place your order, go ahead and pay for your food at register, get your drink, then find a table wherever you want to sit and they will bring your food to you. It was around 12:30pm and they were pretty busy. From our experience, you go back to the counter to request more drink refills. They have takeout boxes for you to grab at the end of the counter, so you can take your leftover food home. I'm sure if there is anything you need when someone walks by they will still get it for you. One of our plates consisted of fried livers and gizzards and they were some of the best around. Another plate was fried chicken, and it was pretty good. I did happen to see slices of homemade chocolate cake that had several layers at the register as we walked out to leave. It looked good.
