The restaurant itself is very old and very rustic, but clean. There are always plenty of employees and they are very friendly. The reason to come here, though, is their fried chicken. To me, this is the best fried chicken I have ever eaten. The batter is light and crispy, and the chicken is hot and juicy. I had a side of mashed potatoes and gravy, and they may be the best I have eaten, too. Great food, reasonable price, rustic atmosphere. What's not to love.
Food was good. The mac n cheese leaves a little too be desired. The first cup of tea I had was hardly sweet, and the second gave me diabeetus. Customer service was phenomenal. Always enjoy stopping by once or twice a year.

I call in I order mullet plate with fries and coleslaw, I ordered 12 chicken gizzards and coleslaw slaw. My card was charged $40.25 when I got home I realized they had added order wings I didn’t order and the wings was for another person . Too many people walking around. I was hurt. Paying for someone else food. My fish was fried too hard.
