Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

I haven't been going out to eat much in the last few months. However, I had some errands that had me out around lunchtime yesterday. I saw a sign for Cracker Barrel and thought I would take a look at the new menu items. I had meatloaf, mashed potatoes, green beans and biscuits of course for $8.99. I thought that was a pretty good deal especially since my last outing was a stop at fast food and it was $20 bucks. The meatloaf was good. Potatoes and green were same as before. The biscuits seemed different and had a salty topping on them.
They also had a deal to get a take away entree with side for $5. This only had a couple options but I still thought it was a deal. Don't get me wrong. It's not gourmet food. It's the same type as before but I do think you can find some interesting options too. I was overall glad I stopped and will be trying other things next time. The service was prompt even though there was quite a crowd. I was hungry so didn't inspect new decor too much.
There were everyday lunch specials plus daily special. Also had dinner early bird specials 4-6pm. Checkout each location for specifics.

Waitress was well trained, very polite, after delivering food she stopped by to see if everything was OK and did we need anything else. Always great to Dine at Cracker Barrel Country Store. Loved the original name and signs. Don’t change!!!!!

The food was not hot. It wasn't even room temperature. It tasted old. I took two bites of pancakes that were rubbery

We always love the atmosphere here. BUT even though the temperature was a just right outside, it was freezing in the dining room. Although this did not make dining as pleasant, our server went above & beyond to make our meal the best possible. Afterwards, when we were ready to leave, my husband paid for the meal & asked for the manager (he NEVER does this). He told the manager about our server & our exceptional service. The manager said she would go right then & commend the server. That doesn't happen very often, especially during or shortly after a major holiday when they can be so busy. THANK YOU FOR GREAT SERVICE!

I have tried so many times to give them another chance, but each time they disappoint on service. Not sure if it is lack of help. We ALWAYS get seated in the back for some reason and that seems to be the land of the lost. Takes forever to get drinks, get orders taken, and to get food. Absolutely ridiculous. Love the store but that will be all i go for in the future.

Cold food, ordered meatloaf came out warm got into it and cold in the middle. Wife's chicken and dumplings had 2 small pieces of chicken in it about the size of a quarter. Her broccoli came out ice cold.

Well, two of the chicken fingers for a child's plate, were burnt and inedible. When we asked Misty about them, she took those two and never brought any back for him. We had two other plates that had mashed potatoes as a side, and i asked for a bowl of gravy to soften and moisten mine up a bit, but the gravy was ice cold. And both servings of mashed potated were cold. My chicken fried chicken had a terrible taste, almost like a chemical taste, bitter and gross. I tried to eat it, but it was just bad. I did not bother to tell the server, as her service was less than stellar. The speed of food coming out of the kitchen was atrocious, and while we were there, there was roughly 10-12 tables of people at them.

Would have given it a zero if the manager hadn't fixed the issues. The server forgot to put in my part of the order so we waited for an hour to get food. When it came out, it was still cold except for the meat. The server was young and only worried about her boyfriend sitting behind us. The manager had to come out. She was very apologetic and gave us a new waitress and new food.

Curbside pick up. They didn't have the chicken sausage, no problem. All the other food was cold and appeared as if someone ate from them plate then put it in the to go box, broken pieces of turkey and the cornbread dressing was dry and scraped from the bottom of the pan.
