MamaRitas Mexican Restaurant & Bar

This is Gem that not a lot of people know if...The food and service is excellent ! The portions you get is more than most could eat. I chose the Bourbon Burger (yes I know ..lol)..and it was great..fresh hamburger meat, not a frozen Patti..Can't really say enough about this place...We will definitely eat there again .

Eat there almost every time I visit down in south GA. Great food, great service, excellent sweet tea! Gotta have sweet tea in the South! Just have to!

I visited Mama Rita's for the first time today for lunch. I had the Arroz Trio, which was pretty good. The shrimp were especially delicious. The chips and salsa were okay, but not my favorite. Chips are actually pretty good but it was the salsa that I wasn't too much of a fan on because it had a weird flavor to it sort of like tomatillo or whatever that seasoning is and I don't believe it was cilantro because I know what cilantro tastes like. However, they do give you a good amount of salsa which I like. The star of the show is the service here. My server who I believe her name was Summer did a great job and was very attentive. They also were pretty quick for lunch service which was pretty busy and I received my food within 10 minutes or so after ordering. The water is actually drinkable and not chlorine-filled like you may get elsewhere which was nice as well. I'm a water drinker naturally so when a restaurant has good drinking water that is positive for sure. I recommend this restaurant if you're in the mood for Mexican. Their lunch menu is pretty basic, but basic means faster food service times out of the kitchen. As for parking it appears the parking lot is full, but if you go around to the side of the restaurant and hang a right, there is an additional parking lot north of the restaurant. That's where I parked and it's easy to get in and out there as well. When I first pulled in I was worried that it was going to be super busy, but inside they still had plenty of tables available.

Great experience at Mama Rita's! Tasty food and beverages. Ashleigh was very attentive to our table. Definitely making plans to be back soon!

The margaritas are the worst I've ever had. The bartender should be ashamed of herself. She needs training. First one was awful so I sent it back. Second one was no better. The owner is going to go broke paying for all the liquor. It was three times too strong. Put in less tequila and use the money to buy a decent margarita mix or hire a real bartender. A good margarita is paramount for a Mexican restaurant. So very disappointed. The waitress however was wonderful.

Not your average Mexican Restaurant, nice, pleasant, your neighborhood Mexican Restaurant with flare! MamaRitas is simply phenomenal. Great place with a greater community presence!

Excellent shrimp quesadillas. Very nice restaurant with a full bar. Seems like they are always busy, and thats a good sign!
