What happened to me on Christmas Day I went in and ordered the beef lo mein, white rice, and a shrimp egg roll. It took about 20 minutes to get my order, which I understood given it was Christmas and all. Once I received my order I left. When I get back to work I take my order out of the bag and notice that the not-so-beef lo mein only had ONE piece of meat. I drove back to the restaurant went to the front corner with food in hand and expressed that I had only got I piece of meat. What happened next was mind bowling. The lady literally took the same food, took it to the back and just topped it with more meat. I will never go back here.

China Garden is a decent Chinese restaurant with the potential to be even better. The flavors are enjoyable overall, but some dishes could benefit from being less greasy, which would make the food feel lighter and more balanced.
On the positive side, the service is very good the staff is friendly, attentive, and makes you feel welcome throughout the meal. The atmosphere is simple but pleasant, and the food arrives in a reasonable time.
Overall, China Garden is a good option for a casual meal, with tasty dishes and warm service. With a bit more attention to the preparation and reducing the amount of grease, it could easily become an even stronger choice for Chinese food in the area.

My heart breaks for the residents of Hickory Flats having to accept this Chinese restaurant as the best around. It's acceptably average and designed for take-out -- e.g. all dine-in food served in take-out containers. This isn't always a bad thing, but it didn't add to the appeal of it. The lady at the counter was incredibly friendly, though.

This is tough because I typically only leave good reviews… I’ve had friends and family say things (at other restaurants) like “this tastes like chemicals or soap.” I’ve never had that experience anywhere… until tonight at China Garden. Literally couldn’t finish it. I’m concerned about being sick now and it’s just unacceptable. Sorry I’m sure these are great people but you have to do better. I won’t be ordering from here again. Which pains me as a business owner myself.

I got my usual chicken & broccoli. This time it smelled and had no taste. I hope I don’t get sick from it. I will not be ordering this anymore. Thought I would try again and got the same result if not worse so I found a place in Milton near the Publix. They were great.

I'll rate the food I received, not what I ordered. I ordered garlic chicken but received a beef dish, I think. I don't think it was garlic beef either, as it had no spice or garlic flavor at all. Very bland. I usually love the food here, but this time not so much. The woman behind the counter, as always, was delightful!

The whole family got sick after eating food. We threw it out as it tasted like rancid oil. We had been eating food from there for over 10 years. Usually very good, but we had ordered any in quite a while. Can't chance getting such again. Have read other comments of similar situations happening. The lady at the order counter has always been very friendly. Sorry it has gone downhill.

Have ordered food from here for many years. So shocked tonight with some of our food. Egg rolls were good and sweet & sour chicken seemed fine. My chicken with snap peas, mushrooms, onions & celery was very oily and had an off taste. I noticed some of the celery was discolored also. The fried rice tasted strange too. Had to take several anti acid tabs to get rid of taste. Been fighting upset stomach issues. So sad to see this situation.
