So, friday night my family and I went to Gekko Kitchen in Canton for the first time and I have to say my experience there was terrible….
So, it started out that I got charged twice for my meal and when I notified the girl at the counter she wrote down this number and stated that I would have to text this random number to have them issue me a refund (and apparently it is the owner) which I thought was very sketchy, but I gave them the benefit of the doubt so I texted the number the girl at the counter provided and the number responded back saying we will issue you a refund and provided me with a photo confirmation so I went back outside to the table where I was sitting.
So, while eating my food I noticed that there was a black hair in my food (that was definitely not mine) and mind you when my family and I walked into the restaurant for the first time I noticed that none of the workers were wearing hairnets. So, I walk back into the restaurant to let the girl at the counter know that there is a hair in my food, and that since this is my second time coming in here with a problem I told her that I feel that like my meal needed to be completely free. She spoke with her co workers in the back and told me that they would be making me a new meal and that I would need to reach out to the owner in regards to my meal being comped. I did inform the owner of me finding a hair in my food and while yes he did fully refund me for my food I feel that the way that restaurant is being ran is totally unprofessional especially with the workers not wearing hair nets. So, I will definitely not be going back to Gekko Kitchen, and wanted to warn others.

While the food was pretty good, it's not worth the price. $14.95 for a steamed rice bowl, an additional $2 if you want fried rice or an additional $4 if you want noodles. Does not include a drink. No fountain options. A steak bowl with noodles and a bottle of water was just shy of $18 before tax.
Additionally, I have never eaten at this place before or at any other location if there are any. Im still shocked how I paid with my debit card and filled out no info yet had my receipt emailed to me. Even if it's the point of sale responsible for that, I can't think of another restaurant or business where I have entered my credentials and allowed that to be shared to other businesses.

The food is absolutely terrible. It’s a cute little place but the food is not good at all. So sad too much sauce and the sushi doesn’t seem fresh. Oh gosh. I’m reading the reviews right now and it is saying that the salmon made them sick!
Are you serious?

Not a light lunch. Very heavy, greasy, and saucy food.
You get more food than you would at panda express but you might as well get panda because it taste better.
Actually so gross and not worth it.

I just ordered the steak and shrimp bowl. Very fresh, flavorful, juicy steak and big shrimp. This place is the real deal!

We live in the area and had high hopes for this place. After multiple "let's give it one more try" attempts, we won't be returning. Service is terrible, every time. Slow as Christmas. Employees with zero personality who lack basic communication skills. Salmon made us sick after our most recent "one more try" visit. $18 for a poke bowl is a stretch for fast casual, but we like to support local. No more regretful purchases. Save your money.

Ordered Taro bubble tea, got what tasted like brown sugar. Poke was the most meh I've ever had. Had friends get hibachi that was much better, but still mid in their opinion.

Waitress didn’t speak English. Ramen was mediocre at best. Plastic bowls and spoons and no atmosphere.

My husband just placed a pick up order for this place. We have been here many times and today was a horrible experience. My husband ordered a sushi bowl for me with a side of chicken. When I opened my bowl at home it didn’t have the crab meat or seaweed salad that is included for the bowl. In addition, he ordered a side of rice for my baby that was listed as $1 but she charged him $11.I called to fix the issue! I thought maybe new crew? So I called to ask for a refund. The lady answered and told me she didn’t understand and then told me that she doesn’t know what to do. SO SHE HUNG UP ON ME. I called back and asked, did you hung up on me? She answered: Yes, I did. (She could barely communicate with us) I asked if she speaks Spanish. She said Yes, (I also speak Spanish) so I asked her everything again in Spanish and she said: I do not know how to do a refund, I do not know how fix the issue I’m new here, nobody else here knows what can be done.I asked for someone else, maybe owners? She said not there until Tuesday and again said I can’t help you.So I feel like the place is just stealing money from us plus totally ruined our dinner. There was not even a little bit of sorry on the conversation with that lady!——I’m not sure how to reply to the owners question but I will update here and see if this works. The order was under Dustin William Carr and there was 2 orders bc for some reason she charged him in 2 separate transactions

We liked this restaurant! There's vegan and gluten-free options
Vegetarian options: You can make most menu items vegetarian or vegan by getting tofu instate of meat.
Dietary restrictions: They have a few gluten free menu items, but I'm sure they use soy sauce with wheat in it in most of their recipes, so celiac folks, beware.
