Old Country Place

Old Country Place catered our Christmas meal and it was fantastic! The brisket and whole ham were tender and full of flavor, the mac and cheese, BBQ baked beans, and mashed potatoes were all delicious, and the banana pudding was the perfect finish. Everything was a hit and made our holiday so easy — highly recommend!

Full disclosure, I met the owner and his wife at my place of work . So I told him I would come out to his restaurant. Well I received the royal treatment. It's an awesome place for BBQ. They often cater where I work. They have a full service bar as well. Great selection of dishes and sides. I highly recommend this one. You won't be disappointed.

We love the total experience of Old Country Place! The staff is so welcoming, the service is always great, and the food is the best around! Our favorites are the fried green tomatoes, the ribs, the smoked wings, the brisket, all the tacos, and the okra. Also, the smoked hams and turkeys they offer for holidays are the absolute best we have ever had. The desserts are fantastic as well! Plus, this establishment is very supportive of and involved in our community. Stop in & check it out for yourself!

Great bbq, mid brisket. Very nice restaurant and pretty good service. The sides were the star of the show here, bbq baked beans were sweet and spicy and delicious, I had never seen mashed potato salad until here, but it was homemade and amazing. Pulled pork is right on and they have good sauces, brisket however was cooked thoroughly, dry, and a bit tough.

I went order some wings few days ago and I can tell you this place is the best that I have ate wing around this area. ( I’m very picky)
The only sad part is that they should close a little late so people can enjoy a little more time there although I understand for the people who work here. I need to come back and try other foods that are promised to be great according to the other reviews.

First time trying out the place recently and I'm happy to report that the Nashville chicken tasted like Nashville chicken. The ribs were solid, and the whole family left full and happy. We'll be back.

Absolutely phenomenal BBQ and dining experience!

Old Country Place in Hickory Flat isn’t just good. It’s the kind of spot that reminds you why small-town cooking will always beat the big chains. From the second we walked in, we were greeted with genuine smiles and that “come on in, you’re family here” feeling.

Our server Alex was incredible, friendly, fast, and just plain cool to talk to. She made the meal feel personal. Then Koby, the owner, stopped by our table and couldn’t have been nicer. You can tell right away this place is built on pride, hard work, and heart.

And the food? Unreal. Every bite tasted like it came straight from someone’s backyard smoker who really knows what they’re doing. The brisket melted in your mouth, the ribs fell off the bone, and even the sides were next level. You can taste the care in everything.

I noticed they’ve got a 4.4-star rating on Google which in my book is good but, honestly, that doesn’t even come close to representing how good this place is. This is a solid 5-star spot in every way, with amazing food, outstanding service, and a perfect 100 on their food safety score.

This is the kind of place you don’t just eat at, you look forward to coming back to. Hickory Flat’s best-kept secret, hands down.

Next time I want to chew on leather with BBQ sauce on it, I think it should be cheaper than what I paid for. The Mac and cheese was dry and the sweet tea taste like it has a wang to it.

We have ordered takeout BBQ before, but this was the first dine-in experience. Everything was tasty and prepared well. The lunch crowd was sparse, but it was a Thursday. I will drop back by soon and update my review.

If I could rate this food less than one star I’d do it the bbq was dry and had no flavor at all all I gotta say is save your money and go somewhere else

Had lunch here today and left incredibly happy. Service was excellent. Food was even better. Solid environment. Their chicken tenders were hot, fresh and juicy and their homemade ranch and the Nashville Hot sauce hit the spot. Mac and cheese was great and the chocolate brownie dessert was good as well. Definitely happy with our visit and if we find ourselves in Canton again we will absolutely return!
