Clean place. Visited on a Saturday night and only two people taking orders and handling the bar. Took a long time to get drinks. On the second round of drinks ( bottled beer), my buddy was told what he ordered they ran out and sent someone to buy a case (Walmart). He was brought his bottled beer with the top still on. He asked how he was supposed to open it. The guy looked at him and told him to open it with his teeth, then walked away and never came back. Fortunately my friend had an opener on his key chain. I am not making this up! The food was overpriced for the portions and to me was not as authentic as touted. I vist my daughter in Baton Rouge regularly and no comparison to what was served. Unfortunately this is a one and done for us.

First time here, food is 100% amazing!!! They let us try a few samples and everything was soooo good!! The staff is amazing and knowledgeable as well! Will definitely be back and I’ll bring my kids back as well who LOVE Cajun! If you are looking for amazing food, this is your spot!!

We met some friends for dinner at The Cajun Menu in Canton (next to Walmart) and had the best food we have had in a long time. I asked if they could accommodate my daughter who has celiac disease and cannot have anything with wheat. They went above and beyond! One of the staff members actually said she would go over to Walmart to buy Corn Tortilla Chips so she could eat the crawfish queso. That blew my mind. So if you want the best Cajun food in this area go visit them!

I ordered on doordash and got the full portion of crawfish etoufee which was $20 and when it arrived I was shocked to see what they considered a full portion for that price. It was literally 1 cup of food, im not exaggerating, the contents fit into a single measuring cup. What happens if you order a half portion? Do you receive half a cup of food? It tastes ok but not great. Crawfish has a frozen taste to it. Extremely overpriced for small portions and food that tastes like it came from a tv dinner. Not impressed and won't eat here again.
Update: not long after eating it, I violently threw it back up.
After living in NOLA, we've been looking for a good Cajun/creole restaurant. This is the real thing. The seafood is fresh, the po'boys are very flavorful and the bread is shipped in from La. Be careful with the bar drinks, they do a heavy pour. To finish off the dinner we had an order of beignets, yum! I've heard the boudian balls are outstanding but I haven't made it on a night they are serving them. I will be returning and bring others with me.

We went for lunch today and we brought our friends from Louisiana to make sure this place was legit. The staff was friendly. We ordered the gator bites, etouffee, seafood gumbo, shrimp poboy, the red beans and rice and the beignets. Everything tasted good. Our friends thought the etoufee was too salty but everything else was great. Our server Jordan was amazing. She gave us a free catfish poboy to go. We are glad we went.

I'm currently in a bad situation not of my own making. I walked into this restaurant in tears. The nice woman that owns the establishment and her daughter helped me without hesitation asking for nothing in return except for me to re-claim my life. That is my plan. The food was excellent, service was excellent and I highly recommend it. This type of kindness is rare in today's world and I willbe forever grateful for it. Thanks again!
