My family and I felt comfortable the moment we stepped into this cozy and eclectic eatery. Our waitress was friendly, genuine, and attentive. Our party of seven were all waited on with ease and served our food at the same time. Ohhhh the food. My crawfish etouffee was better than any I've had in Louisiana. The taste and texture were spot on. The loaded fries (i forget the item name) with pulled pork was a hit at the table. Noone in the family had anything but praise for the meal. The star of the meal though was the collard greens. Perfectly seasoned and cooked. You could taste the greens and they were not mushy. Perfection. Do yourself a favor and work Brown Dog into your dining plans while in Carrollton.

Superb food with original spins on Southern classics. I had the Mac-Intosh sandwich.... short rib meat with Mac & cheese (!) and veal gravy. Very tasty. Also, the broccoli and kale salad. This is a go-to eatery in Carrollton.

outstanding burger and while I’m not ordinarily want to drink, they had a very tasty hard apple cider. If that’s your thing, they have about anything you could want. Good attendance staff and I had no issues at all with the food or the service. Would definitely recommend.

The food was ok but we didn't care for the cherry wine bbq sauce and the bread on my cubano sandwich was really tough. The fries are crack, the burger was amazing, the streetcorn was meh, and the grits were never brought to the table. The waitress was really nice and the wait time decent for as busy as they were.
