If you’re looking for a small wedding/reception venue for 40 or less people, City Tavern Carrollton with their venue , Next Door, is the place to go! It was the perfect size for our intimate day with our family. Super affordable, great ambiance, ample parking and great catering. We didn’t want to be in a huge venue that felt empty with our small group and City Tavern nailed it! Stephanie Lister Weaver , Rich and their team were beyond accommodating to all of our needs and requests. 5 Stars all the way around!!

Didn't have any food. Came in around midnight. Literally sat at the bar for 20 min and was trying to call to both of the girls and even waving. I had to get up and interrupt the bartender talking to her friends at the end of the bar. We were there Sat Sept 6th if any owner or manager would like to figure out who was working. I'm sure I'd return because it's a bar but not a nice first guest experience.

Service is terrible unless you are at the bar. Sat outside tonight and asked a lady serving tables twice for a beer. She said “I will tell your server”. I waited about 15 minutes and no one ever came. I went to The Standard and had a beer in under two minutes. Food is better at City Tavern but that’s irrelevant if you can’t get help.

Enjoyed it. First time going there had the house Burger. Sauce was good. Burger well cooked. The rest of our meal was really good too. And they had Guinness and that is a big bonus. You enjoy it! Give it a shot.

Great hand pattied burgers and tater tots are good
Cool bar in downtown Carrollton. Like the space and feel of the restaurant. Service was just okay & so was the food. I tried the buffalo chicken quesadilla with tots. I will go back to try their more popular dishes.

Dumb and Confused
Overall experience was wonderful. The restaurant was very warm, and welcoming. The food was hot, and delicious. My family and I enjoyed dining here, and I would consider coming back again soon.
I do have a couple of gripes, but it's not something that should go on a review, and they weren't exactly a deal breaker anyway.

Service was great drinks where great but the burgers where undercooked we ordered 3 different burgers and all where overly pink. I would recommend if you are wanting to drink. If you want to eat just go around the corner to chip's.
