I got the salmon BLT. I got the salmon med rare because I don't like over cooked fish and my bacon extra crispy. The staff did amazing in cooking and serving the food. I will come again.

Kai (not sure how to spell her name) was great. I'm not sure what happened but she saw me pointing and must have thought I was upset. She did an amazing job and we were never without drinks! 10/10 will come

Last minute find for a place to eat because our original plans fell through for the evening. Pretty decent atmosphere for a downtown college town establishment. Felt safe with the extra security. The waitress with chatty with other customers though so it took a while to get refills and such. Learned not to buy liquor in a college town establishment if you like the finer drink experience. The hamburgers were not amazing and undercooked. The chicken tenders were ok. The chicken wings were probably the most tasteful. I would go back for a side order of tater tots though!!(even though they are probably from freezer to oil to table). Glad to have the experience of this place but not a go to regularly place for me.Parking: We found parking on the square but difficult.

City Tavern is not a bad restaurant, it’s mainly bar food that’s not gonna stand out in an eating competition.

Food was great and the place is awesome/cute. My only complaint is how rude our waitress was to us. We started a separate tab at the bar (due to us wanting to keep drinking and we knew shortly after our food got there she would had to close out our tab), she accidentally charged us for a beer that was on a different tab and we stated this to her and she got snappy at us. Also at the beginning when we got there and she asked to see my ID she snatched it out of my hand -rude again, which wasn’t a big deal to me but her service slowly declined from there. I’ve been a server and a GM at a restaurant for several years and have never reacted that way to a customer, especially since we were so nice. Super unprofessional. Will still recommend this place for a good late night eats and good beer selection. She also called me a b*tch in front of everyone at our table (there was about 8-9 of us) and we all were just so shocked we didn’t even react because we all just couldn’t believe that. We ALWAYS tip good due to us all having worked in the restaurant industry for long periods of time, but as you can expect I personally did not leave a tip for the utter disrespect and disregard she had to us. Maybe because we all are young (mid 20s) but I still believe we should have been treated like any other customer. I never leave reviews, but was just found the experience with the waitress very distasteful and it left a sour feeling in me.

It not my favorite place to eat. I ordered a Monster burger with fries, pretty average. The service was great though. Also saw the bartender put his fingers on top of the straw holes to stir the drinks, and gave them to the customers. That’s gross!

Popped into this place to escape the rain. Got a shot of Jim Beam, a couple Printer's beers, and a sandwhich. Relaxed atmosphere at the bar. The staff was great. Looking forward to swinging through again.
