Notice how any reviews beyond 3 stars don't mention the owner/host. The owner is flat out rude. He's always yelling at somebody and this time it my turn for something so small. The fact that he decided to yell at me on a Friday night in a packed hibachi area shows he cares little for me or his guests yet you guys keep spending money here. I work too hard to give my money to an owner that doesn't respect us and our community. Also, watch for the $5 card fee and the automatic 18% gratuity regardless of the number of diners. He's laughing his way to the bank all while stepping on the actual people who make him this fortune.

I’ve been a Carrollton resident for 17 years. The owner is constantly in a bad mood and I don’t get it. We had a great time with our waitress but as soon as he entered the picture, everything went south. Management is absolutely terrible. The owner is always yelling at someone but today was my day I guess. Yelled at me for asking for a to go cup even after I left a 45% tip and spent $9 on a beer. Was he planning on reselling the ice cream my toddler half ate and wanted to finish in the car? I mean cmon… a simple no would have sufficed instead of berating me in a crowded hibachi area. Hopefully our tip goes to our awesome waitress but I doubt it. I bet he pockets tips and pays them hourly.

Our filet was fatty, shrimp was extra fish tasting, my daughter's sherbert ice cream looked like it had sat in the freezer for some days. Service was good but not the best hibachi food

This place is terrible. The owner is racist and was incredibly rude to us when we came in to eat. The food is not worth the price and the workers look miserable, this place should be shut down.

Poor quality all around. Food was bland and the “fried rice” was cold, steak was paper thin and rubbery. Absolutely no show, cook didn’t even speak to us. He was at the table maybe 7 minutes. He stood with his hands on his hips waiting for the chicken to cook so he could rush off. Our bill was $70 and all they did was “15% discount”. Everyone there was in a hurry to get customers out. 0/10 would never recommend.

We went here for my daughter’s birthday this afternoon, where we usually go every year on her birthday for the past 3 years, but quickly left after 10 minutes of sitting down. First off, we have always gotten a side of chicken and large fry for my husband (he doesn’t eat rice or veggies). The older man who took our order (he’s always there so I think he’s part of management) told me we can’t do that because he has to buy an entree, even though we’ve done this for the past 3 years. I said okay, can we get the entree and substitute rice for fries. He proceeded to say, “no, you must buy entree, no chicken by self, can you read?!” I looked at my daughter, who looked very uneasy, and asked her if she wanted to leave. She said yes because he’s being mean. So I kindly told him that we are just going to leave. He said we had to pay for our drinks before leaving (drinks that we never even took a single sip out of) so I was nice enough to just say “okay” and followed him to the register. While he was ringing up the drinks, I told him I wasn’t trying to be ugly but I felt like he being was very rude and unprofessional in front of my child. He then said “I was not rude, you can’t read, I asked if you could read the menu”. Again, rude. Before I could continue, he kept cutting me off, raising his voice, so I just said I was - now - not paying for drinks that we never even touched, and walked towards the door. In front of other customers and my child, he followed me and began cussing, calling me names, while yelling loudly. I rushed out to get my daughter out of the situation as fast as I can.

In the 3 years we’ve gone to this restaurant, I’ve never had a single issue out of them, until today. I don’t know if he was having a bad day or what, but it definitely left us uneasy and not ever wanting to step foot in that environment again.

Do what you will with this review, but I’d tread lightly when asking for special meals.
