I grew up just a couple minutes away from this restaurant, as a little girl. My dad (chuckie mack) was close with the owner. We would always stop by for lunch/dinner. Like all the time. The owner being a friend of our and the family working always were so nice! The food is absolutely amazing. Best bbq I’ve ever had honestly. If you’re looking for a down to earth, amazing, bbq and atmosphere. This is THE place !!!!

Wife and I went there last night; thought we would give it a try; you really cannot mess up BBQ can you>. Yes you can. Fatty, gritty awfulness pork BBQ; I spit out my first bite; only thing edible on my plate was the side order of field peas. Service unbelievably slow. We had gotten a to go order for nay mom with a pork sandwich; she took one bite and said I cannot eat this. Enough said.

I was a little weary about eating here because of the appearance. It’s a hole in the wall. But sometimes those are the best places to eat so I thought I’d give them a try. The young waitress were nice. We were the only blacks in the restaurant at the time and the white customers didn’t seem to friendly being I’m not from around Carrolton. Was just visiting my daughter. We also got a few looks from some of the customers as if we didn’t belong. The smoke from the pit. inside the building was a little over powering my eyes burned a little. Service was a little slow but I guess thats to be expected with 1 person preparing food. We waited an hour and although the food wasn’t bad but wasn’t worth the wait either.

Positives: tea was good, sides were good, phone-in order was correct. Negatives: person taking the order seemed put out having to take the order, the cut up chicken was dry, the chopped pork was very grissly, dry, and bland, and the ribs were literally 80% bones…LITERALLY! Out of a half rack, two ribs had only bone and membrane - not kidding! Whoever packed this to go order should really be ashamed and embarrassed with what they put into this take out box. I have heard there has been a management change, and a name change is coming. Continued food like this and this place won’t be open much longer as there are too many pod food places in Carrollton for it to survive.
Friendliest people around! Bbq sandwich was delicious and the hot sauce was perfect. Food came out quick and hot. Great little restaurant. Will stop by again if I'm in the area.

Came here for lunch with my son. We both had the combination plate with sausage and pulled pork. I don't normally like sausage but it had a fantastic flavor. The sides were good and the service was very friendly. Great place to get barbeque.

This place is so good! I had the chopped chicken sandwich with green beans and hand cut fries. My son had the Sam’s deluxe burger and fries. We both thought our lunch was fantastic. The owner came over to greet us and told us the story behind the restaurant and name. You can tell he is passionate about his restaurant. Our server was great too. Didn’t have to wait long at all for our food. I would definitely recommend!
