My favorite BBQ place. I switch it up between the pulled pork plate and the rib plate. I used to get the whole rib platter with the sides but I can't eat that much anymore so the small rib plate is perfect. It doesn't come with any sides but I can always add one if I want.
For those who have never been here before, it's a small country BBQ place in Cataula GA. Hole in the wall, as we say. Very popular, especially for lunch. You walk in, read the big board menu, get in line and order. Tip* grab your seats first to save them. Put your keys or jacket on your chair. Like I said, its a small place. Moving on...when you order you'll get a cup and a receipt with your number on it. Go fix your drink while you wait for your number to be called. By the time you fix your drink and organize your table, get your napkins and straws and read the cute pig jokes on the table napkin holder lol, they will be calling your number. PS...get plenty of napkins, you will need them. When they call your number go to the window and get your tray. VIOLA! Great BBQ in your face. Get messy and enjoy. There are about 4 different BBQ sauces on the table ranging mild to hot. Mdukes and I love the hot. (Mdukes is my mom and we are always eating out together lol. Meet Mdukes, I mention her in many of my reviews). Lately, I've been on the baby back rib kick. Suck em right off the bone yum. Last thing I want to mention is they will smoke you up a nice Pork butt to take to an event. I do this often. Just order ahead of time. Worth it if you are in the area

BBQ pork is always a winner as well as the ribs and sausage. Brunswick stew always tastes burned and the pork loin was super dry. If you’re looking for great customer service, keep looking, you won’t find it here… tried to call in an order at 4:30pm on a Friday and the phone was off the hook. According to the not so friendly staff “we were to busy so we turned it off”. There were 3 people, not families, there when I arrived. Thankfully the food is good or they’d be out of business.

The ribs are phenomenal nice and falling off the bone. Service is good but my husband and I ordered a side of macaroni and cheese. His was creamy and with thick noodles mine was dry. It was clear that I got the last bitter dry scoop of macaroni and he got a box macaroni(we believe stoffers) but they did redeem themselves the next time we came
very nice interior and great food. pricing is good

The bbq slaw, and baked beans were good. The sliced white bread was fresh, but the ribs had absolutely no flavor at all. I was so disappointed.

They have the best BBQ & I have tried many BBQ places in nearby Columbus. The staff is great...Ed is absolutely the best he definitely came in & changed the restaurant atmosphere. He makes sure you are very satisfied with your food. I eat here several times a week & never get tired of the BBQ it's so good. Only suggestion I would say is adding more sides to choose from. This is a great little BBQ place worth the drive to Cataula.

We had a pretty solid experience here overall. I ordered the jumbo chopped pork sandwich with pickles and the spicy sauce. But I also added the other two on it awell, highly recommend. My wife got the fried chicken salad, which she said was really good. They did happen to forget the chicken in the salad when the order came out, but that was fixed after a few minutes. Lastly, my son just got a hotdog with ketchup and he loved it. By far the best BBQ spot I've been to here in GA. I definitely recommend this spot if you are wanting some of that good Ole boy food.
Vegetarian options: Just eat the fries and slaw?
Dietary restrictions: Eat what you can.
Parking: Free parking, but it does have limited spots right out front.
Kid-friendliness: They have hotdogs and fries for the picky kids.
Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs

Very good bbq with great prices.
First time visiting. Had BBQ which was fine. Seems to have more items to select from than other locations. Just a little busy at lunch time but fairly long wait for food. Kitchen preparing a lot of pickup orders.
I'm glad people in this area have this option but I prefer the BBQ at the Columbus or Phenix city locations.
Wheelchair accessibility: Would be tough with sloped parking lot and curbs
