I just visited for my first time. The service was excellent. I had the pork plate with potato salad and Brunswick stew. The food was excellent, some of the best BBQ I've ever had. I'll definitely be going back.

I stopped here to get some bbq while passing through town. All I ordered was a bbq sandwich with a small side of mac and cheese. I was waiting for over 25 minutes for my food. People that came in behind me were getting their food before me! Needless to say I was pissed. When I asked the lady about my order, she just mumbled something and reached behind her and gave me my bag. No apologies for making me wait or anything. She acted like she could care less that my food was cold. She also never gave me my to-go sauce too. How can someone who works in the head of the restaurant be so naive about someone’s order like that? It’s not like I was hiding in the bathroom, I was sitting right next to the front desk! Also while I was waiting, they were setting up a bingo tournament. The people setting everything up would not acknowledge my existence and kept acting like they were gonna hit me while moving chairs around. Overall very displeased with this place. Not worth the drive due to terrible service.
We have always loved the food from Local Joes but recently had them cater our wedding. Jamie Hughes is just wonderful. She was on top of my order from the beginning to the end. Communication and execution were excellent. The food was on time through a huge storm and omg it was so delicious! I mean absolutely DELICIOUS!

Honestly over the last few months I've noticed a lot of changes. The staff has changed multiple times. The food quality has gone downhill as well as the service. Last time in there was just a couple days ago, my pimento melt had no proper meat. It was just fat, cheese, and sauce. I threw it away after 3 bites and examining it. Don't even get me started on the cook wearing a shirt that's too small for him and his stomach showing.

Great BBQ spot! We like the white sauce but you may enjoy the red, both are worth a try. We enjoy the loaded tater, brisket, smoked turkey, pork nachos, and pork plate. The burnt ends are so yummy. The fried apple pies are wonderful too! Every time we're in town, we love to come here and we recommend the place to friends. If you drive by and smell BBQ, you know you're near GREAT food!
