Snellgroves is a local sensation. The food is great, the people are wonderful, and the prices are a bit less than typical. No point trying to go right when they open, there will be a huge line. Give it about an hour, and then go. Even if there's a line, it moves quickly. They have lots of tables, and they are ON IT.
I’m from Florida and have had some of the freshest and most delicious fried seafood you can find, but little did I expect this little Mom and Pop restaurant only open for dinner three nights a week to have fried catfish that would rival them all. Daaaaaaaaaaaang! The whole meal was delicious, but ironically my favorite bite was even on my seafood platter. I got the Captain Andy’s platter which was wonderful. Great little spot 100% what I wanted and expected. Southern fried seafood at its best. Owner is greeting people, staff is friendly and the fried shrimp are great. Perfect batter ratio and crispy.
