On our first visit to the area, my husband and I were looking for a local lunch option and found Edna's via the internet. We were not at all disappointed with our choice. We got there on a Saturday and seemed to have come in on the tail-end of the lunch rush. The restaurant was bustling with what appeared to be locals of all ages (though the patrons generally tended to seem to be older folks.) The dining area was large and very clean, and we did not have to wait for a table. A friendly waitress came by almost instantaneously and answered all our questions about the menu. They have daily specials on their "meat and three" menu, so if you order off of that menu your food comes right out. Otherwise they have other options (seafood, sandwiches, burgers) on the menu that are made to order. We chose the daily specials and were not sorry! I had fried chicken with corn nuggets (tasty, deep fried nuggets of creamed corn) and coleslaw. My husband had meatloaf with mashed potatoes, yams, and green beans. Bread is also served, and we asked for corn muffins, which were very nice. We both drank sweet iced tea which was light and refreshing. (They don't serve lemon wedges but do have lemon juice packets on the table.) Our food was all good, but the highlight of the meal was the slice of peanut butter pie we split for dessert. It was a different recipe than we were used to, but we preferred this one. We usually see peanut butter pie that is very heavy and rich, but this one had a light and creamy layer of peanut butter filling topped by the loveliest and tallest layer of delicious merengue I have ever seen. We definitely recommend anyone visiting Edna's try it. Our experience at Edna's was really good as the food was tasty and the price was economical. Our total ticket was about $30 which was a great deal for such yummy homemade food served by friendly and professional staff. I don't think you will regret giving Edna's your business.

Great food, great servers, over all enjoyable dining and unwinding area. Have dined there for years and it becomes more delightful every time. Plenty of parking, and delightful greetings,

Very good, came on a Wednesday (3pm) very nice inside! Prices were very reasonable ($10.00) for my meal). As a first timer, very good experience indeed.
