Was RVing thru town and had lunch at Village Cafeteria. Old Southern Style Cafeteria with daily specials Monday -Fri. We had fried chicken, catfish hushpuppies etc. Dessert was strawberry cake and peanut buter pie. It was all fabulous, homemade and our server, Tia was adorable. All the staff were extremely courteous to us out of towners and I highly recommend.

I'm glad turnip greens and white beans are back on the Thursday menu!

Super good. Went in on Thursday at 4'30 and had never been before, I was explained how everything worked very well by the lady serving meat and the waitress was very tentative. The food was literally perfect, wouldn't change a thing. Went ahead and got some dessert too and the peanut butter pie was delicious and was the strawberry cake. And the bathrooms were very clean.

I've been going to the village since I was a kid when my mother used to take me and my brother. The food is always delish. My absolute favorite dish on the menu has got to be the chicken casserole hands down! They've got the best strawberry cake you've ever put in your mouth. I always order a piece and get them to put it in a take out container bc I never have room for dessert so I take it home for later. And the sweet tea is perfect Southern sweet tea.
