Oof. I've never waited so long for two sandwiches in a long time. We finished a job around the corner. Like a few other patrons there we waited over an hour for our food. We felt bad for the waitresses as they were trying to keep all the guest happy.
The sad part was that the walk in to go orders were going out faster and priority over the people actually waiting.
By the time our food was ready we had to leave. Nearly an hour and a half for a club sandwich with onion rings and a reuben with fries. I cant speak for the reuben. The club was pretty standard. The onion rings were really good as recommended by our waitress Dorothy. Great recommendation but man the kitchen needs to get it together.
Neat place with great potential yet kitchen will hurt it if people are waiting hours for basic food

I was able to finally check this place out, since they have new ownership with new hours! It didn't disappoint. It can be a bit difficult to find parking during the busy times but there wasn't a wait. It is a quaint little building with great lakeside decor. The service was fine, not spectacular but I have a feeling they will get better as they go. The food was excellent. I ended up having the club sandwich and it was a great portion. They were out of fries (it was around 1pm) so I ended up with onion rings and they were excellent. The rest of the table got Shrimp and Grits, country fried steak and a deconstructed beef stew (it was pork beef, no stew). Overall, I'm glad I tried it but I will give it a few weeks to get the kinks worked out before I return. I would definitely recommend trying this place!

Excellent food, pricey but over the top quality wise. Best Onion rings you can find anywhere hand battered when ordered.

The grits.... OMG amazing! Seriously the best I've ever had! The guy at the front counter was very welcoming and friendly, our waitress was a bit hyped up but order was correct and food was wonderful. Everything tasted great and was fast, hot and fresh! Will definitely be back next time I come through ☺️

Came for lunch, left pretty disappointed in the experience.
Perhaps our expectations were too high, given that we had heard many good things about new ownership & revitalization. The inside of the restaurant is nice- hardwood floors, about 10 tables or so, desserts, some merch, etc. There is one TV (at least while we were there), that was playing mind-numbing loops of TikTok videos of cats. But I digress.
We had to wait quite a while to place our order. There were plenty of people working there, however we still seemed to have a difficult time tracking down our server.
I ordered the BLT, my wife got the chicken salad sandwich. The BLT was underwhelming- the tiniest sliver of tomato, served dry on a couple of pieces of white bread. Am I crazy for thinking a BLT should come standard with mayo? The staff seemed to think that I was. I guess for $14 I expected a little more. Chicken Salad croissant was small, and pretty average.
I’m sure folks out there might like it…it’s quaint, nostalgic, but for us it just didn’t hit the mark.

We’ve always come here for more than 30 years whenever were in the area for a barbecue sandwich. It was only one of two places. I knew that cook the meat on the grill with the sauce and it was tremendous. We even drove up here from Atlanta on one of our anniversaries For a barbecue sandwich. We were shocked that they no longer offer a barbecue sandwich! So we had a meal of vegetables and country fried steak that was very good. But it wasn’t a barbecue sandwich!
