If you’re up for a ride and craving BBQ, TB&J BBQ up in Clarksville, near Lake Burton off 197, is the place to go. This spot’s a little out of the way but so worth it, especially if you love riding the roads around here.
They’re closed for the season after Oct. 27th but will be back around Easter, so it’s one to keep in mind for next year. They’ve got it all: ribs, brisket, chicken, nachos, beans, slaw, and a super cheesy mac & cheese that hits the spot. Tyler and Jess, the owners, are welcoming and excited to serve up great food. There’s not a lot of room to order, but grab an outdoor table and kick back while your food’s on the way.
You might even meet the local dog (we’re calling her Bella) who loves a good belly rub and is around most of the time.
Whether you’re on your bike or driving through, TB&J BBQ is a top choice for great BBQ in the area.

This is some of the best if not the best BBQ I’ve had in Georgia. If you are in north GA it’s worth an excursion out to try. Tyler is a friendly guy with passion for what he does and it comes through in all of their food. Also gave some great recommendations for sight seeing in the mountains.

This place is the CUTEST. There's literally nothing to it. Picnic tables in the back, small kitchen set up, and super friendly owners (I'm assuming). I didn't get to talk much, but I'm gathering it is a husband/wife ran team, and their food was on point. I enjoyed my pulled pork salad, and my husband got a chicken sandwich. Both of us were highly satisfied. Now I have something else to look forward to when I adventure up in this area.

This is the sort of legendary out of the way bbq shack that people tell stories about. As someone who frequently doesn't order ribs because I don't want to deal with existential disappointment, I strongly recommend the ribs.
Wow! This BBQ is off the charts!! Thanks for the sweet hospitality and even bringing our pup some trimmings. He loved them! Sorry for exploding the homemade sauce but we enjoyed every bite :) Tyler was sooo friendly. Just loved this place

Football and BBQ quality, few things have stronger opinions in the south. In my experience, even the best of the best places do one or two items incredibly well and the rest is mostly mediocre. Not TBJ. Man, when I say everything was absolutely fantastic I do mean everything. Tyler could not have been a friendlier or more gracious host. We will most certainly be back. You would do yourself a disservice to skip over this place

Stop in for a bite. I had bbq sandwich and beans and potato salad. Hubby had sandwich with slaw and banana pudding. Food was great, large amount of pork on sandwich, beans and potatoe salad both were delicious. I have to save my stew for later as I was too full to eat anything else. Hubby enjoyed all of his also Great friendly service, and outside eating was dog friendly, which was very nice for us. Definitely will be back next time we are close by.
