Attic
WE live in Highlands, NC but our kids live in GA. It is a wonderful drive there and back, but we always plan our trip with a lunch stop in Clarkesville, at the Attic Restaurant. Exposed brick walls, a nice bar and ALWAYS fresh foods: I almost always get special soup. We dine inside, but outside is lovely too! Love the waitstaff, the ownership, and even the guests are congenial. The town has cute shops, a great antiques shop and more. You never know where to go off the interstate, BUT the attic is worth the detour!

My wife ordered the Mediterranean chicken.she said was good I ordered the chicken alfredo. was very bland and the linguine was overcooked and mushy and very pricey

I love this place. Food was excellent. Atmosphere was great. We went before Christmas and it was beautiful I ordered french onion soup and salad. My husband got buffalo chicken sandwich.

We heard The Attic was the best in Clarkesville so we went there for Christmas eve dinner, but we were very disappointed with the food. The Alfredo was watery, the pork medallions were so tough you couldn't eat them, the shrimp (10) were over-priced and lacked the blackened seasoning I ordered and the short ribs were insufficient to make a meal (6 bites) and also lacked seasoning. Definitely not worth the cost.

Love the food here and it is a beautiful restaurant. Great place for a date night or family outing. Our favorite is the Philly cheesesteak served on great bread with a side of aus juice. Fries are good and hot. We have also enjoyed the salmon pasta, burger, reuben and chicken tenders. However they also have many upscale dinner options that I'm sure are delicious. Love the exposed brick and candles on the table. There is also an outdoor patio. The service has always been great.

Cooking With the Cooks
So disappointed when I took a friend to the attic and was telling her how good the bread is that you can buy (it’s not free)! It’s one of the things that’s was so good but they changed it and it was not good! Waitress said it was hamburger buns now that they toast. It was hard and crumbled to the point we couldn’t eat it and the taste wasn’t there like the bread they use to serve. On top of that they charged $3 for each of us to get a top of a hamburger bun! Please bring back the other bread that was so good.

Shelby.. our bartender, waitress, and manager of The Attic was amazing. Our food was delicious. I can not wait to come back and if you are in Clarksville this place is a must visit!
We should have followed the previous reviews, the food was not great at all. We had the spinach & artichoke dip (tastes like canned cheese), pineapple chicken salad (chicken salad has nuts and grapes, fyi), and the shrimp/sweet potato fries (not too bad).

This was EXCELLENT. From the relaxed atmosphere, to the friendly staff, to the well-made, well-plater, well-served food, I HIGHLY recommend. Best Salmon Benedict I've eaten, and the crème brûlëe paited perfectly with an excellent cup of coffee. 10 put of 10 would come again!

We walked in tonight about an hour before closing, but the staff was nice and accommodating. Server was great- friendly and efficient, but not hovering. Food was excellent! Had the bourbon steak which was well seasoned and cooked perfectly. We also ordered the stuffed trout and mozzarella sticks-both fantastic. Will be back for sure.
