I love Fruitcake and have been purchasing Claxton Bakery Fruitcake for years at our local Military Commissary's during the Holiday's, This year though will be the last time I purchase Claxton Fruitcake because of all the Garbage Low Quality Candy Fruit they are now putting in it, one of the Dark Cakes I purchased that I tried to eat actually had some type of Wood Twig in it, which after Spitting it out and examining the half chewed FC, it appeared to be a Stem from a Raisin (Grape Vine), plus most of the Candied Fruit is so tough you can't even chew it, Never Again.

Claxton Fruit Cakes were always part of my holiday season when I was growing up. I finally got to see where it all started and where it continues to be a family operated business. Paula was very helpful in telling me the story of how her family built the business to what it is today. I look forward to a follow-up visit after September when they will be gearing up for the holiday season.

So friendly, big selection of all different sizes of light and dark fresh fruit cake
I received a fruitcake in December. I tried to regift it yesterday because my friend loves fruit cake and I don't. They opened it and it was sour. I called the corporation that makes it and they said we don't know if we sent that or somebody else did like Amazon or somewhere like that and we're not standing behind it because we don't see your name in our distribution. So it must have came from somewhere else. So they said when I said is there anything you can do this 80 year old lady loves fruitcake I gave it to you yesterday and she said it is sour, the guy said not our problem. He was fairly rude but professional, but basically saying we will do nothing for you. I was irritated told him thanks for nothing and hung up

I come here for my Delivery they are nice and quick all truck driver u need to know I have to back up from street and court house parking lot they open at 8 am from main ST take right turn on N Grady St and docks are on left u have to turn inside court house parking lot and straight back up on docks. They unload fast .

Our experience at claxton was fruitful. It was enjoyable, the service was very good. They do give a sample if you ask. We enjoyed our time there. It is a factory outlet, not a diner.
