The food for my husband and I just wasn’t good. I don’t know what else to say. The toast wasn’t toasted, the bacon was soggy and greasy and for the life of me I can’t figure out how scrambled eggs can come out as greasy as these were.
The atmosphere is wonderful and the service was top notch. I’m local so I guess I’ll give it another try but not any time soon.

We had a wonderful visit at breakfast at the Clayton Cafe. Cindy greeted us and Steve was our server. The food was terrific, I had eggs Benedict on fried green tomatoes. My sister had blueberry pancakes. It was a fine visit!

Went for breakfast a couple times. The food was great and a lot of good options other than the standard breakfast menu. The service was oustanding and the location right in the heart of downtown. Also have sidewalk seating which is great when the weather is nice.
