Amazing homemade lunch. Highly recommend the chicken salad.
At the time we were in the area very few places were open for a late lunch. I went here because of all the food pictures I saw here on Tripadvisor, but unfortunately many of these foods were not to be found at this restaurant. Everything was pre-made and served in packages and served with weird throwaway wooden utensils that didn't work very well. What we had DID taste good, but it was not what I was looking for with a title like "Fromage & Other Fine Foods" and from the pictures I had seen. I agree with a previous reviewer, for this kind of food...you do pay a pretty penny...my partner was surprised how much our lunch was considering what we had. Also, note if you pay with a credit card they charge a %5 fee...which is odd, because it is my understanding that credit card companies charge UP to 3%, but not above that, to businesses. The place is very cute. I liked the art and looking out the window at wildflowers, I did not like eating out of plastic throwaway containers with not real silverware.
Heard "Fromage" and I had a hunch Could this be the best place for lunch? Rave reviews and the place seems cool Reading the menu, I'm starting to drool. Taking my order, why so cheery? As SHE gleefully answers my every query Should? I order the blueberry gazpacho? I'm starting to think this is NA-CHO Typical lunch or your typical food Shrimp and goat cheese, what did I do? Who'd have thought quiche could be SO yummy? I've never had a happier tummy. Must have a sammy, but which is the best? Want chicken salad AND all of the rest I'm struggling. The guy next to me sees, "I can’t decide either! How 'bout SPLIT-SIES?" Two halves for me and two for this stranger. First bite is in and now I'm in danger Of eating my two halves and eating his too. I'm secretly hoping he goes to the loo! Oh my satiated palate, I think I'm in heaven! I see her again with her jolly expression. "Dessert? You can't leave without the best part!" This angel now has the whole of my heart! Do I really love Jenny, or THIS Crème Brûlée? Perfect end to the middle of my day. Don't make me leave, I'm begging you please! Want to live at FROMAGE! I want to SAY CHEESE!!!
Hands down the BEST place ever!! So good!! Family of 5 all fed and full for a great price!! Please don’t ever leave!!!
Unacceptable and unfortunate. This place USED TO BE outstanding. But now…they should just close the doors for good. It is obvious that the owner lady’s heart is not into it any more. 4 of us had lunch…$110 for 4 lunches. Outrageous. And half the food was horrible. No more fresh made food. Pre-made pre-packaged grab and go style food. I had a pre made chicken salad croissant sandwich on an old stale dry croissant. $110!!!!!! There is NO REASON to go to this place ever again. What the heck happened? If the owner doesn’t want to be there anymore…sell the place! It used to be GREAT…but not anymore. How embarrassing.
Greek salad was fabulous! Their famous chicken salad was to die for! But neither of these dishes compared to the peach crisp bar!!!!!OMG!!!!!!!
I never even finished reading the menu because the first two items sounded so good I had to order them right away! Everything was fresh, bursting with flavor, and beautifully presented. I wish I could eat there every day. I used to think I hated quiche, but apparently I'd simply never had a good quiche before. (My significant other ordered it, not me, and he was kind enough to share.) I had blueberry gazpacho, which sounded so nuts I had to try it, and it was delightful - somehow fruity, garlicky, savory, and refreshing all at once. It came with two crispy homemade cookie-crackers that perfectly complemented it. The "not a sandwich" plate of a peach, cheese, nuts, corn, and perfectly-cooked pork was plate-licking good, but I was polite and didn't shove my face in it when I was done, although I sure wanted to. My oh my what a wonderful - and pretty - meal.
The food is incredible! A special everyday, using locally grown and produced food. The service is excellent and they are super friendly. You MUST have lunch here!
We were not the best customers but they were very gracious!! We changed our reservation at the last minute and stayed much longer at our table then we should have. The food was delicious with lots of fresh veggies. We shared a warm brownie with ice cream. Extra good!! Then they helped us get pictures afterwards. Thank you so much to the Fromage!!!
A Clayton can’t miss. Jenny & Mr. Wilson have perfected their craft. The chicken salad was amazing, atmosphere really nice and the curation manifest in the menu rather exceptional. A downtown Clayton gem.

Stopped in for lunch, but unfortunately they did not have enough staff to serve indoors and it was quite chilly. Just got some cheese, brownies and cake to go. The cheese and brownies were delicious, but the almond, coconut and chocolate chip cake was out of this world! I was not a cake person until now.
Charming, quaint restaurant. Always a treat to eat Jenny's delicious food and Mr Wilson's serving skills !
We had a wonderful lunch here with one of the best cakes I have had in years. The staff was very kind and helpful. The restaurant decorations, featuring local artists, are charming and we appreciated that there was both indoor and outdoor patio seating. There were several vegetarian options, in addition to the restaurant specialities.
The veg-head is great. Chicken salad is perfection. Good selection of dessert choices.
My husband and I ate a late lunch here on New Year’s Eve day. It was their last day open before closing for the winter season. They were out of several things but made some wonderful alternate suggestions and delicious suggestions they were. Chicken salad was so yummy. My husband had their chili and said it was very good. This is a hidden gem that truly shines.
