We ate there with a group of friends recently and had eaten there once a number of years back. The service was good - no complaints there. Everything else - the food, atmosphere, location - was just "OK"... It's not anything really bad, but not really anything that stands out to draw me back in on a regular basis. However, other people we know swear by it - so - go check it out and make your own decision.

I don't go to this restaurant often, in fact I was actually having to the Sunday Diner next door for their Friday seafood night but didn't realize they stopped it at 7:00 p.m. LOL. Not wanting to get back in the rain, I decided to sit down and look at the menu in order the very simple meal of fish and chips.They're not joking when they say that they serve their meals with a little bit of flair. The food was appealing, their notion of a side salad was a very generous portion (although I wish cheese was one of the ingredients). Both the fish strips and the fries were cooked perfectly and the 1399 price was incredibly reasonable in this day and age.I definitely plan to return more often. Just like the Sunday Diner which is in the same out of the way shopping strip, this is off the main drag behind United Community Bank so a lot of the tourists tend to miss it but the locals sure do know about it and anyone looking for great food, great service, and fair prices ought to use the GPS on their phone it made their way to Ishy's Grill.Wheelchair accessibility: I certainly can speak to this as I am in a power chair. There is a handicap parking space directly in front of the restaurant and there's no curb and plenty of parking. I was able to drive my wheelchair into the restaurant with no bumps or tight squeezes and they have multiple tables that can accommodate wheelchairs and power chairs.

Traveling thru and was searching eateries in the local area. Came across this eatery on . The menu choices sounded good.Went inside and was greeted by one of the staff..... no patrons inside.( arrival time a little after 8PM 2.6 24)We were informed that it was pick up orders only... not very personable nor professional. We asked if there were any other eateries open, which we were told " I don't know if anything is open". Hence.... we will not be back .Went up the road to Mama G's for dinner. We were greeted with open arms and told to take our time. Night and day welcomes.

After hiking in Tallulah Gorge State Park, we stopped in at Ishy's Grill for lunch. They were pretty darn busy with the Sunday lunch crowd and looked like only three or four servers were hosting the entire restaurant. It did take some time to get seated but once we did, it didn't take too long to get our drinks, place our order and eventually get our meals. I had the Black & Bleu burger which was simply amazing, my son had a kid's cheeseburger and my wife had the loaded baked potato soup which she said was very good as well. For dessert, we shared a fudge brownie with ice cream which was a perfect finish to a delicious lunch. Highly recommend them! Interesting variety of menu items as well, including burgers, hispanic food, pastas, paninis and salads.

Lunch today after a fun waterfall hike was on point!!! So glad we decided to stop in here to eat! We both had the fish and chips, and let me tell you it was absolutely delicious!! It was perfectly crispy on the outside, moist and flaky on the inside, and their hand cut fries were the bomb! Definitely will come back!

I can’t believe how good this food was, especially for the price! Insanely good! Miraculously good! I ordered shrimp and grits, expecting just a regular decent plate of shrimp and grits… and instead I got a MASTERPIECE. It was beautifully plated, with the grits in a little triangle surrounded by some kind of delicious sauce and chorizo medallions. The shrimp were perfectly blackened and topped with an edible flower. It looked like fine dining, and tasted like it, too! I live on the other side of the country, and I wish I could go back to Clayton right this minute - I’m STILL dreaming about Ishy’s, a week later.
We'll be back for sure, food was tasty and well prepared and presented, atmosphere was quiet and clean. Service was prompt and every glass was filled!Parking: Location is off beaten path of downtown traffic and main highway so parking is a breeze. Highway Access is best from main 441 hwy.Wheelchair accessibility: Flow around inside restaurant ready. Easy to roll up to tables for height.

We love Ishy’s. So much variety and always good. Best onion rings around! Favorites are shrimp and grits, pork chop, fish and chips and chicken marsala. Can’t pick just one favorite from the Mexican dishes. They’re all good!!
