These folks are the real deal old-school diner, with exceptional food quality, and the employees are always on their toes! I am in awe of how this team of folks works together so diligently to serve their customers! We were helped by three or four employees just today. One noticed a plate that needed to be taken away, one observed that we were ready for take out boxes and our check. I had the fried shrimp basket with onion rings and it was like going back to the fish camps of my childhood. Well done Sunday Diner team! This is why we eat here so often.

We are in Clayton on vacation. Came into town for a bite to eat at Sundays because the reviews are so good. Let me tell you they did not disappoint! We had our dog with us and they very kind and accommodating. We sat outside and our waiter ( a young man ) was so friendly and attentive. I ordered their smoked meatloaf and requested bread to make it a sandwich. Not only did they accommodate my request they toasted the bread perfectly and built the sandwich! The meatloaf was AMAZING! The best I’ve ever had ( even better then mine! lol ) it came with mashed potatoes and gravy, and green beans, which both were very good. My husband had the brisket dip with fries. There fries are homemade! He said his food was very good. It looked yummy! I had sweet tea to drink also was great! If you’re in the area we totally recommend eating here!

Me and my friends come here all the time when we come in town it has always been our favorite spot but today the food was just bad i barely touched my plate. I own a restaurant too when my waiters see a plate that hasn’t been touched they usually ask about it and bring it to my attention but i did not see that today. i didn’t want to make it a big deal but i did want to bring it to your attention as this place used to be amazing! i had the country fried steak breakfast and nothing on my plate was even edible eggs had no flavor whatsoever the steak was over done and way too chewy felt like i was eating rubber and oh boy the potatoes were so extremely salty i literally touched it once and never again. Just please if prices go up so should food quality it shouldn’t have gotten worse please fix this!!🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
