The Diner Mountain Lakes

The people are great.

It was a very happy, cozy place to have lunch. Good burgers. The staff was friendly and welcoming.

Great little lake resort diner. No frills just good people and good food.

Everyone is so nice at the diner n the specials are always so tasty if you want some tasty treats then you need to come out and try them soon.

Took our mom this morning to breakfast for mother's day. Wonderful food, atmosphere and friendly staff. Off the beaten path restaurants are always wonderful!!

Miss Savannah cooks the best wings and hamburgers. My mother loves the breakfast sausage, egg and cheese biscuit. Best food ever and the friendliest staff.

Oh… I love the Arnold palmers also.

Almost forgot… the desserts !! Amazing.

What a unique find! We stumbled upon this place from Google reviews and we are glad we did. The food was very reasonable, quick, and delicious. Food like my mom would make if my mom could cook.

Getting there was interesting. Didn't know it was inside a security gate for a private resort. However they were happy to let me inside but did ask for my license as collateral which they returned in exchange for the diner receipt.

Folksy friendly spot to enjoy brunch or lunch and some days dinner. After seeing the almost perfect Google Review rating, we decided to stop here instead of seeking parking in Helen or Cleveland, glad we tried this spot, we'll be back. When you walk in the door, you are greeted by the kitchen staff (you can watch them at work) and Kitty, the friendliest server ever. She'll make sure your order is just right and set up your table, providing interesting and entertaining conversation as if you were part of her family. The food is good, crunchy fries that were tender inside came with my burger, and the omlets my guests had were fine! Plenty of parking, but we didn't know at first the diner was down the hill path past the golf recreation area, finally found it! The diner is inside the Mountain Lakes resort area but the guard at the gate lets you in when you tell them you are visitng the diner.

This place is awesome. We ate breakfast, best omelette ever. We also ate lunch and yes went back for dinner (mushroom Swiss burger) too big to eat all. Yummy. Ms Kitty and the chefs are so sweet and kind!
