Typical southern American restaurant especially for us Europeans. Meals are rich in flavor and portions are huge. We had all beef platter and BBQ pork platter with sides and cornbread and biscuits. Everything was tasty. Prices are fair.

It's a throwback with a huge menu, good, reasonably priced food, enormous portions. I wish I was there on the one day of the week that they serve pineapple pudding.

Don’t let the hole in the wall exterior fool you or scare you away, they have some of the best affordable barbecue in the city. Every time I come to Atlanta for Minneapolis I make sure to stop up here. I love their fried okra, And strawberry cobbler I never heard of it until I went to this restaurant, but it’s good!

I would have gave 5 stars because they give you plenty of food, the cost is not expensive at all! I paid less than $15 for 2 big pieces of fish, and 3 healthy sides, (Mac & cheese, collard greens, and sweet potatoes soufflé). The greens are fresh not canned and seasoned well. The fried whiting was amazing, the Mac & cheese was good but a little under-seasoned for my liking, the sweet potato soufflé was very good!
You also get plenty of tartar sauce and hot sauce and two whole corn muffins. I couldn’t eat it all! The only reason I gave 4 stars is because I found a piece of hair in my Mac & cheese. It looked like beard hair. My only suggestion the owner, they just have to make sure the cooks are wearing hair and beard nets. I’d go back tho because the food and price you can’t beat!!

The food is so good for a meat and 3. Smoked chicken and smoked turkey is great. Mac and cheese is superb! Pineapple pudding was delightfully different. Our server was very attentive and vert patient with us changing our order.
