DJ’s CARIBBEAN KITCHEN

They didn’t have everything on the menu. The food was well prepared and not too salty. I didn’t taste any coconut in the rice and peas even though this was a Trinidadian place. The food was still surprisingly good. They also have southern style foods on the menu making this place a sort of fusion place. But it is in an economically depressed area and sadly the place reflects the neighborhood it serves. They could be so much more with a little more attention to detail. I was very satisfied either way the food, but equally disappointed with the lack of menu items and ghetto accommodations.

The FOOD , the FOOD is delicious, I had the oxtails. but the dude working the counter…. Idk if that’s the owner or what but he was not nice or welcoming at all. I wanted this to be my spot but i can’t keep soaking up that negative energy.

Service: The people were very helpful and polite.
Food: The vegetables have a sweet taste, but they are okay. I enjoyed the jerk chicken and beef patty.

I ordered through Door Dash; a birthday treat to myself, and I’m glad I did! Y’all throwin down like that?!?! Just amazing; like someone’s grandmother made it. I’ll come in person next time because the driver misdelivered my order!!!! Someone almost got my food, y’all!!!

Doubles and corn soup— only offered on Saturdays and I’m glad I came and got some. Both 10/10 and I’ve had plenty of doubles to compare. Curry chicken lacked taste, had to go and put my own salt on it, would not get that entree again. But very large portion for a small plate. Maybe will just stick to the soup & doubles next time

My niece and I was visiting Atlanta and she wanted to get some Caribbean food and she randomly picked DJ Caribbean Kitchen and this best the best Caribbean food I’ve had in a long time. It tasted like she was at home cooking with some love in it. This place should have a line around the corner. Where is Keith Lee lol. Great great food❤️❤️❤️❤️

1st and last time ever eating here. Doubles were spongy and filling tasted sour. It went right in the trash. Palourie were definitely old and they were spongy also. Trashed them also.
If I could give a lower rating I would.
Note to owner: Please STOP representing Trinidad with your terrible tasting food.

Absolutely horrible! The place opens at 12 on Sunday and I got there at 12:30. I ordered brown stewed chicken and 2 spinach patties. The spinach patties were hard, dry, and cold! Rice had a funny taste, and chicken wasn't quite right either. Cabbage and the mac & cheese were bland. My stomach isn't very happy with me right now! Not a good 1st impression at all!

I have been looking for a good Caribbean restaurant and this is my new spot! Love the food. Everything was fresh and I got a huge portion of food. Great experience overall!
