For being at a hotel, the food was actually good. With nothing immediately around the hotel, this was our only option, and we were surprised by the quality. The service was, at best, okay.
If you are here, don't shy away from the food. Is it going to be the most amazing? Nope. But ours was better than we expected it to be from a hotel.

Stayed here as a stopover before flying back to UK after 3 wks in USA. It’s a lovely hotel with beautiful rooms and excellent service. Free shuttle to and from domestic terminals. However, you’re miles from downtown Atlanta so you are caught in the hotel food trap which was lovely but extortionately expensive. However, we were tired and just wanted to eat and sleep. Lovely pool areas and towels. Hotel let us keep room til 3 pm
We did two nights one on either side of our international trip. This place gets 2 stars from me. One for the friendly front desk staff and one for the location. That's it. The rest of the staff was either lackadaisical or just untrained and the rooms were surface clean at best. We had to move on our second night because the room they put us in smelled so bad we could not even get in there all the way. The restaurant is over priced and the service there was laughable. Even the airport shuttle was unavailable to us when we returned so we paid for a cab to get us from the airport back to this Westin. Yes, I called them and they were running domestic side only so we could either walk there and wait another half hour or "just make our own way." Okay. Like I said, location and front desk good. Everything else was just bad.
The lobby carpet is filthy. The lobby smelled stale. The restaurant had a 85 sanitation food grade. The furniture in the room need to be replaced. The bedsheets felt rough. This hotel is not at the Westin Standard. The only thing good about this hotel is it’s close to the airport.
Looked nice on website and have had good experiences with Westins in the past. This one....no. Only positive things I can say is it is very close to airport, room was clean, and bar in lobby was OK. It is apparently the family reunion spot in South Atlanta now. The hotel was overrun with large family groups. Could not even park to check in with bus after bus dropping off family members that frankly acted like it was their first day on earth? Indoor pool had maintenance tape on door like a crime scene. Pool was cloudy and gross. Could not see the bottom! We witnessed guests in their cars "Hot Boxing" marijuana in the paid parking lot standing around at night in groups. It did not feel safe at all. Could not sleep with unsupervised children running up and down hallway all night screaming. Had to call security. Parents did nothing. The next day when we took the shuttle to the airport and the driver refused to take us to the international terminal even though we offered to pay? He said "No, take the train. Not my problem!" I am very surprised that Westin manages this hotel at all? Far below their standards in my experience.
Very enjoyable location, good food, attentive staff, all wrapped in a professional services attitude.

I stay at this hotel pretty often for work. Usually about once a month. The last time I was here I had a fantastic experience. It was raving about it to colleagues. However, my July 2023 visit was a different story. It started when I entered my room and noticed that I did not have the dental kit or the grooming kit that I requested. I did not have any bottled water. And I also did not have a robe. Also in my shower, it appears that the shelf is barely hanging on by the screws. Again just another off putting sight in the room. I immediately informed hotel staff via the Bonvoy app, and was told that the items would be brought up within 20 minutes. Approximately 40 minutes later, I had to leave my room to meet my driver with my Uber eats order outside in the valet area. I did inquire in the Chat on the app when the items would be coming up to my room, and they informed me that I could stop by the front desk to pick up the items myself, but that they were out of robes and the shaving kits. I was out of my room for most of the day on Tuesday and when I returned, I noticed that my room had been serviced. I did receive one bottle of water, but I still have not received my robe. Again, I had to ask on the chat for the robe - something that should’ve automatically been in my room. Tuesday evening a colleague met me at the hotel, and we decided to have a drink and an appetizer in the bar area. The service was less than desirable. There appeared to be several staff members working the bar area but none that seemed very friendly. We asked one person if we could place an order after sitting at the table with menus and our drinks for quite some time and she told us someone else to come over to do that. Approximately 15 minutes later, we had to flag down another employee and she was kind enough to take our order. The customer service and wait staff in the bar area left a lot to be desired. I don’t think I will plan on having any more meals at this hotel. Wednesday morning I had put out my do not disturb sign on the door. At 9am housekeeping knocked on door and said “housekeeping”. I truly do not like writing reviews like this, but I felt it was necessary because I usually have a great experience at this hotel and I do come here often. I plan to give it one more try later this month and I do hope it’s the experience that I usually receive which is normally much better.
After a very long, miserable flight from overseas, in which I spent 3 hours getting kicked in the back by a kid sitting behind me then going through the hassle of customs with a broken suitcase, my wife and I needed to get a few hours of sleep before returning in the morning for our connecting flight home. ... We got there just before 11 and the staff was great. Check-in went quickly. So far, so good. The problems took place in the morning. We were told that the shuttle to the airport left every 30 minutes on the half hour. So we woke up in plenty of time to catch the 6:30 a.m. bus to get to the airport for an 8:55 flight. Problem is, there was nobody at the desk to check me out. After waiting for maybe 10 minutes, calling out for someone to assist me and walking around the lobby looking for an employee, I gave up. When my wife and I got outside to wait for the bus, there were about 30 others already in line. The bus filled up and we were told to wait for the next bus. After another 20 minutes, worried that we might get caught in a long line at security, we spent $30 on a cab to take us to the airport. When I went inside to find an ATM to get cash to pay the driver, the guy who finally showed up at the front desk either didn't understand English or had no desire to help me when I asked where the ATM was. I finally found it and we got to the airport. And not a second too soon. We were the last ones on the plane and nearly missed the flight because of the incompetence or recalcitrance of the Westin staff. Beyond the performance & attitude of the staff, how is there not advance signup for the airport shuttle? This is more than a convenience, it's a necessity if the demand is so high -- either to schedule a second bus or to at least let guests know they'll have to find their own way over there and not waste time waiting and wondering what's going on. I am a Silver Elite member and this is not consistent with why I am so loyal to the Marriott brand. Needless to say, I will not stay at this property again.
What an amazing hotel! It is only 2.1 miles from the Airport (About 10 minute ride) They offer a free shuttle bus as well to the airport. Rooms are very comfortable and quite-you cannot hear the airport. They have a restaurant and bar onsite. All the Delta airline staff stays there as well/

We had to stay here because we missed a connecting flight. This was the dirtiest hotel I have ever stayed in. The hotel room was filthy. Hair all over the bathroom. Dirty floors and sinks. Nothing was wiped down. Avoid this place!
The service was good. The hotel is a bit dated. The parking situation is not great. You have to park and then enter a tunnel to the lobby. There are stairs that you have to carry your suitcases up. Overall not the level you’d expect from a Westin. But the bed was comfy. The pillows are HORRIBLE. Requested more and still very bad. Not a great nights sleep but it did the job.
First the positive about the hotel: Airport van service was good in both directions, check-in was efficient and pleasant and the room was clean as expected. But...that is not why I was there! I few into Atlanta from LAX on my way home to RI to have dinner with one of my best friends. His wife made the hotel reservation for me because it was a Westin and had a restaurant with a glowing description on its website where the three of us would have dinner. So here is the dirty laundry list: 1. Could not get service after a 15-minute wait in the lobby bar so we moved to the restaurant. 2. Ordered a martini, a beer, and a glass of wine. The waiter said they had Hendricks but came back and said they did not, so I accepted a substitute. Part of the martini order was that it did not have olives, etc. Martini arrived in a wine glass with olives. I sent it back and a new one arrived in a wine glass, 3. As we reviewed and discussed the menu, we realized one of the menus had different food selections. We asked the waiter which was correct, and he stated he did not know and would have to ask the kitchen. This was a bad sign as to his familiarity with his job. 4. We ordered and had to correct the read back for each of us several times as the waiter was making errors in his notes. 5. Appetizers when served were attractive but the runner had to ask who received which. (Known as "Auctioning the food.") 6. Eventually the entrees arrived were presented without an auction. Each was placed incorrectly, was incorrect as to the sides and two of the three steaks were cooked incorrectly (medium rare instead of well). 7. We asked for the manager and subsequently a change in servers. Service recovery by the manager was adequate but insufficient for the issues we suffered including the delay it caused one of our party's departure. The adjusted check was not as promised and had to be corrected. We didn't expect fine dining, but we did expect what we usually enjoy at Westins, Sheratons and Marriotts. This hotel didn't deliver that in its lobby bar or restaurant. Not even beginning with a martini glass of any kind! Really!
Just left this review on The Westin page but realized the bar has their own review page.I wish I could say that I love The Westin at the ATL airport, but this has been the worst experience I have ever had at a hotel ever. I travel extremely often for my job and am no stranger to hotels. I am extremely friendly to the staff ALWAYS and don't ever complain. The worst part of my stay has been the staff at the Martinis bar in the lobby. The women who work at the bar are incredibly disrespectful, dismissive, and all around mean bartenders/cocktail servers.Especially the woman who always wears red lipstick. She has deliberately under poured my friends drinks as we watched her make them (and yelled at the hotel guest who pointed it out to us), ignored me at the bar, commented to her coworker on my appearance, and made several nasty comments and facial expressions (like rolling her eyes) at me. I cannot imagine how she is still allowed to work here. She has ruined my extended stay at The Westin at the ATL airport. And I will never give money to the bar again.
Had a great time and can't wait to return.
