We were really looking forward to grabbing a quick bite at Shake Shack in Terminal A, but unfortunately, the experience was far from what we expected. Despite having a large group of employees behind the counter, only a few seemed to be actively preparing food, while the others were gathered in the back talking. This resulted in a long wait of over 20 minutes for our order, even though the line wasn’t that long.
What really surprised me was the loud and frequent profanity coming from the back area. It was very noticeable, and not something I’d expect in a family-friendly or professional setting—especially in a busy airport terminal. It made the wait even more uncomfortable.
When I finally asked for shake sauce, I was told, “We don’t have any,” and when I followed up by asking if any was on the burger, I was met with a dismissive and rude, “Did you hear what I said?” That level of attitude was completely unnecessary and uncalled for. As I walked away with my wife and child, I couldn’t help but feel judged by the glares and unpleasant looks from some of the staff.
The food was fine once we got it, but the overall atmosphere and service made this a very disappointing visit. Definitely not what we expected from a brand like Shake Shack.

Nasty mannered staff that doesn’t listen to and input your order correctly. No seating and the prices are so astronomical it will make your head spin! No joke! Burger patties were also under cooked. Two stars for hot, tasty fries. Won’t stop here again when heading through atl.
I have been stopping by this Shake Shack for 3 years and believe me it’s like it’s better now than it use to be. Service is A1 the management is friendly. The burgers and chicken there is no one better.

Me and my family love Shake Shack but this place was terrible. First of all, there was no line and at least 10 employees working but it took 15 minutes to get our food after we ordered. If there was a wait it would be no problem but the employees were doing nothing and we almost missed of flight because of it. I literally saw most of them scrolling in their phones while they had orders they had to make. Second, they got my order wrong. I asked for NO CHEESE and they gave me cheese. Also, normally the fries here are amazing but they were kinda soggy and weren’t salted at all. Lastly, the food was EXPENSIVE. Like I understand that airport food is expensive but for a burger, some fries, and a lemonade it was over $25! If I ever come back to Atlanta airport I will not order here.
