Food decent, a bit high. Cashiers aren't knowledgeable nor courteous. And they close early often. Still overall a place I will always support.

When we first came in the young lady didn't greet us at all (first sign to leave)!! I bought the fish plate with yams, orka and Mac n cheese!!! Let me tell you the MAC N CHEESE is trash it taste like its sour cream is in it, the yams are canned yams, the orka was HELLA GREASY and SOGGY from the oil, the fish was SOGGY when we told them to fry it hard!!! My wife and I want be coming back!!! Only reason why I ate SOME of my food was because I didn't wanna waste my wife's money!!!!????????????????????????????????????????

First time ordering and trying the food from the reviews. just now at 534pm. For my food fries are great not over cooked, the cashier or someone called me just to tell me they were out of sauce and told me the other flavors that would be great with it! Most restaurants I ordered fron didn't even tell me if they were out of something. So this is a HUGE DEAL. the chicken tenders are great as well. Oh .yeah the garlic mashed potatoes were good too not too garlic like.

Ended up ordering my wife a shrimp and grit plate and she absolutely loved it. Next time I'm in the Atlanta area I will be visiting again. The only not so good thing was leaving the establishment because of the location. Traffic was horrible.

Ok yesterday was my Birthday and I wanted something good to eat. I know I didn't want to cook because the weather was to hot to turn on an oven (Plus who wants to cook on their Birthday). So on my way back from downtown Atlanta, I decided to check out this little cafe off Old National. I had seen them on Yelp and thought one day to give them a try and yesterday was that day. I walked in and was immediately greeted by a nice woman at the register. I was asked what I would like but I had no clue. I had informed her it was my Birthday and my first time there. She stated Happy Birthday, and helped me decide on a menu choice. I picked the Lobster Meal. This came with Fried Lobster (shell attached), yellow rice (you can upgrade for a $1 and change for Seafood Rice), a Corn Muffin and two picked sides. My pick was Seasoned Steamed Broccoli and Mashed Potatoes (they appeared to be red ones). The Seafood Rice I upgraded to was yellow rice, chopped bell peppers, mini shrimp, and crab meat. She said 25 minutes and my order would be up. I swear I was only sitting in there 15-18 minutes. The waiting area was clean with a good amount of tables and a few tv's. It seemed to be a slow day (or Thursday afternoon) and two other customers came in and out while I was there. Before I left she gave me a drink on the house for my Birthday and asked that I would visit again. I told her I would, thanked the cook and left. Got home to enjoy my prepared meal and was pleasantly satisfied. The flavors were on point!! It wasn't too salty and seasoned just right. The Fried Lobster was different. I had never had it that way before, it was gooooddd!!! The Lobster meat stayed moisted and seasoned. The broccoli still had bite to them and not mushy. That Corn Muffin was the truth!!! Mashed potatoes were creamy and the Seafood Rice was tasty. Souf Side is a black own business and I try to patronizes these establishments when I can. I appreciate when my people can come together and show off their culinary magic. If you want some Southern Style Seafood with flavor this is the place for you!! I gave them a 3 star rating for these reasons: It was just my first time there. I look forward to coming back and them exceeding my expectations. The location wasn't the best for me. For a businesss being close to an on/off hwy ramp maybe good business but for customers the traffic is unbearable. And it being in a little shopping center in the corner next to a dirt bike and four wheeler store its hard to get to. The rice was little darker than I'm used to seeing with yellow rice. So it could have been oil that sat on it too long. Other than that my visit to this gem wasn't disappointing.

When we walked in it was pretty much empty and I knew our food shouldn't take that long which it didn't. Nicole at the front was friendly and also gave me a gift for it being my first time. She walked me through the menu and gave me her recommendations. After we got our food she checked it and it looked great. The presentation was done nicely. I meant to take a picture of it before eating but I was so hungry and it looked so good I dug in. Lol Everything I ate was soooo good and well seasoned. I had the grilled shrimp with rice with a side of Mac and cheese and fried okra. I also had some of the fried catfish as well which was really good as well as tender. The drink I had was all 3 mixed together and was the best to wash down my meal. I highly recommend this place when looking for some great soul food or just great food in general.

The food and service is absolutely amazing!!! We have tried almost everything on the menu and have not been disappointed! We moved here to Atlanta a little over a month ago and have been so disappointed in most of the restaurants we have tried but this one is not like those. Phenomenal!!

Well was convinced to give this a try with one of my boys. Went down, took about 25 minutes to cook, I had the blackened tilapia with fried conch, seafood rice, broccoli, garlic potatoes, sweet corn muffin and strawberry lemonade. Came out to 20$ even. The lemonade in particular was to die for, they only make enough for three containers daily and after that....0. The conch was tender and the potatoes were creamy. The rice perfectly cooked along with the scallops and shrimp and crabmeat. Well worth 1.50$ extra. This is a LOT of food no matter what combination or platter you get, be prepared to have leftovers or to get it to go. One complaint was that the broccoli was so salty it was almost inedible. My friend had the batter fried broccoli and felt the same, that was too salty. I will definitely come back but will avoid the broccoli.
