Wow! Ate here for first time today. Currently they only have the buffet, but are building an oyster bar and will be open at night also. Every single item I got off the buffet was excellent! The fried chicken was perfect as was rhe baked chicken. The Mac and cheese was probably the best I've ever had! Vegetables were fantastic! Now - the deserts - banana pudding- perfect, some sort of coconut pudding - amazing, peach cobbler - good, but would like a crisper crust. Try this place- so wish we had this in Atlanta!

A Southern Buffet Done Right!

If you’re ever in Colquitt, GA, make it a point to stop by Moby Dick’s! This place is the real deal when it comes to classic Southern comfort food served buffet-style. The catfish was perfectly seasoned and fried to golden crispiness—truly some of the best I’ve had.

The carving station was a standout, offering freshly sliced meat that was both tender and flavorful. The vegetables were home-cooked and tasted just like grandma used to make—creamy mac and cheese, seasoned greens, and more.

The dessert bar? Absolutely to die for. I had the peach cobbler and it was warm, gooey, and full of flavor—just the way it should be.

The atmosphere was lively and a bit noisy, but that’s just part of the charm. It’s a very family-oriented spot with self-seating and pay-at-the-front service. Everyone was kind, helpful, and kept things moving smoothly.

Highly recommend if you’re craving Southern hospitality and a full belly. I’ll definitely be back!

Large and varied buffet - 5 or 6 meats, 20 or so vegetables, 4 to 5 desserts- and these are estimates, there's probably more. Very efficient process to get seated and served. The place must seat 150-200. We arrived at 12:10 on a Sunday and were concerned about the number of cars in the parking lot. But, our party of 9 was seated immediately. Try the butterbeans - delicious.

We happened to be driving to Albany GA and made this our halfway point for a lunch buffet. OMG this place didn't disappoint and it went above and beyond.

Moby Dicks is buffet only eating. The price includes a drink. The hours are a bit unusual so be sure to check before going. The food is southern style fried chicken, fried okra, blackeye peas & green beans, collards, cornbread lace, in addition to other offerings including desserts. The server was attentive. Food was good. Restaurant was in an old building but was clean and had plenty of room.
