The restaurant is now called, The District Green.I ate here on the advice of a local who said it opened a month ago under a new name, and new décor. The old restaurant, 7th Street Provisions, was an excellent French bistro, but the Chef and partner decided to start fresh with a new vegan menu. I am usually slightly skeptical of chefs making such drastic changes, however this was an excellent decision. The décor was beautiful. I couldn't help but notice small details throughout the restaurant that showed how much thought the owner put into their theme. Vegetable artwork like paintings and collages adorn the walls entryways and windows. There is even a broccoli head hanging over the kitchen window. You might not notice the theme if you don't already know that their menu is plant based because the décor is still classy while hitting all the right notes. The service was wonderful, I was promptly seated by a professional server who brought water to the table immediately and made sure that I understood the menu. She was attentive and prompt and even suggested drinks based on my dish choice. The food was delicious. I started with their pickle selection, which came with carrots, beets and Brussel sprouts. They were perfectly pickled, and the Brussel sprouts were smoked! It was and excellent starter for my main dish, the C-Dog, a sous-vide carrot, in a wheat bun and served with black beans, Vidalia onions and a poblano crème sauce that blew my mind. First we will talk about the carrot. It smelled, tasted and felt like I was eating a hot dog and I could not detect the typical sweetness that you usually get from soft cooked carrot. The server touted that it gets cooked for two hours in hot dog spices at the start of the day, and is then grilled to finish. It was amazing. The onions, beans and poblano sauce was the perfect chili dog topping for this perfect carrot. I drank a blood orange Kombucha that the server suggested with the dog and it all went very well together.Overall, I was pleasantly surprised by how good this new restaurant is! After eating, I talked with the chef and owner for a few minutes and they were happy to let me take a few pictures and share their experience and excitement for what is the best plant based restaurant in Columbus.

Sooo very sad to see the place close... it was definitely one of my Favorites. I kept driving by to see if they opened yet... only to recently learn they have permanently closed. This is a huge loss for Columbus.

Hidden Gem! I recommend a reservation as this place is quaint. The ambiance is great, the food is wonderful and the staff is very good. My sister had the pork chop and it is the best ever. Cooked to perfection. I had the steak Diane and it was one of the best I've had.

This is our second trip to the 7 th Street and it was fantastic, again. The charm of the building and the friendliness of the staff is just as good as the food and drinks. There seems to be a special touch with everything they do. We are already looking forward to returning the next time we are in town.

Was in town with my fiance and we had Taylor as our waitress, she was GREAT!! Super helpful and she's knowledgeable on the menu. The food was fantastic and the drinks were different and really GOOD. I recommend this place especially if your looking for a quiet intimate date night. I recommend making reservations because it might be busy. Hope you enjoy it as much as my fiance and I did.

Stopped in on a last-minute whim, just passing through town and got the last two seats in a full house off a last-minute cancellation. Food and drinks were fabulous! Servers were smart and gracious. So refreshing to have food cooked expertly we had a sampler for two and split the porkchop - seared and still moist - perfectly done!

What a perfectly fantastic meal we had provided by this amazing staff! We started with an appetizer sample and deliciously clever Moira and Johnny cocktails... So great, we ordered a 2nd round! Dinner was perfectly prepared and presented... We were able to talk and enjoy our evening without a hovering or insistent wait staff; very much reminded us of our European dining experiences that way... Can not wait to visit again. We made a reservation and were promptly seated. Parking was no issue.

My first time here and I was not disappointed! It is a cozy little place and can get loud quickly when the restaurant is full. Austyn guided us through the menu, made recommendations and was always attentive to our needs. The food was beautifully presented and delicious as well! The lamb tasted amazing, but my favorite has to be the goat cheese ice cream -- it was absolutely divine!

Great food but be prepared to wait about an hour at your table before your food shows. Worth the wait though.

The food is phenomenally delicious. Must have reservations and it's a little wait for the food to come out, but it is worth the wait...well it is true with the saying, "Good things come to those who waits."

Our new favorite date night restaurant. Delicious food and cocktails. Great service. And the atmosphere and location is beautiful. You can dress up or wear jeans. It's worth the money, but non pretentious. Go!

Incredible experience. Food was great (7th Street Boiler Plate, Cast Iron Seared Pork Chop, Vietnamese Coffee Glacé), service was excellent (Lisa), and ambience relaxing.

Had high expectations coming in, 2 hour wait on our food. Had the smoked Gouda foundue which was awesome. My girlfriend had the lamb which tasted awesome and I had the blackened salmon which was unfortunately subpar. Just tasted like a standard salmon. A higher review would've been left had it not been for the wait time and the lack of seeing our waitress

Absolutely amazing experience. The ambiance is relaxed and yet beautiful. Our server Taylor was also fantastic. Knowledgeable of the menu and very attentive. It's a wonderful place to catch up with friends and family and enjoy delicious food. Everything is made to order, and with amazing care. It is now my favorite restaurant in Columbus.
