Terrible customer service. I’m an easy going Marriott gold level guest and recently visited on official federal government travel. Had an issue with the bill and the hotel manager (tall bald man) was the least helpful person I’ve met in the 12 years I’ve been staying at Marriott properties. His employees were clearly afraid of him to the point where I was concerned for their well-being. He kept quoting policies and procedures not written down anywhere that he pulled out of thin air. The change to the bill I was attempting to make was something I’ve done at every other Marriott property when on work travel however he is the only one who was unwilling to make a simple billing code change to be in compliance with federal travel regulations. Will never be back. If you visit, please check in on the welfare of his poor front desk staff- they might need rescue.

We went to Columbus to visit a friend whose son had graduated phase one of Army boot camp. The hotel was beautiful, and clean. It is in a nicer area of Columbus and there are many restaurants and bars within walking distance. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in this area.

Outstanding Stay at the AC hotel Columbus GA. Our son graduated from OCS Fort Benning. 15 min from base. 15 min from airport. The hotel is a perfect location to explore downtown Columbus- exit the hotel and walk for blocks. We lucked out and had Amanda and Dustin managing the hotel the days were were there. They were engaging and super helpful pointing us to the perfect locations for food drinks, atmosphere, and entertainment. We tend to celebrate ALL DAY ON VACATION and Amanda and Dustin gave us Awesome places to start and cure our potential hangovers. Hotel in great shape. Or room, Lobby, The lounge( open til 11:30pm) , grounds all clean lighted modern. Parking on the premesis hotel level and downstairs - never searched for a spot. Workout facility has everything u need. Breakfast in lounge with excellent friendly staff- (At $200 night I hope AC Hotels will considers complimentary breakfast - and coffee - but thats just me). Hotel Lounge hoppin each night - lots space and has outdoor seating - option which is great. Downstairs meeting room and workstations. We stay at AC hotlels fairly often - rooms clean, comfortable and stocked, with basics u need. AC hotel Columbus 5/5 on all accounts. At least twice a day had general Staff ask "how is everything in your room ?" Recommended venues Breakfast The bank - great food, - bloody mary so so, coffee options excellent - inside outside seating - great people watchinf My Boulange - mimosas, no Bloody mary, excellent breakfast menu - inside outside seating , Brunch Animal Farm - liked the staff -order the deviled eggs . My wife says best drink of the trip- "charo" strawberry infused Tequilla apricott liqueur, lime mint and rhubarb bitters and the bartender was really great. Vertigo- staff super friendly engaging - service excellent- drinks great, food " looked amazing". Gotta gotta the bathroom Dinner The Loft - food great , drinks (so so) cool atmosphere Mabellas - great food drinks - sat at The bar - bar staff 50/50 - little flat- we like to sit at bar and engage staff learn about new places to try. Might need a reservation - we did not have one. Little pricey for us but not generally - Scruffy Murphys Irish Pub - Cool venue - staff great - its a pub Billards on Broad- played some pool- variety drinks - not crowded - dive Maltitude - craft beer store - if u dont find somethi g u like - u really dont like beer - lots good beers on tap- Up at Smoke - rooftop bar - cool view - cornhole - good for sunset - $5 cover - we Thought worth it. Restaurant below ( Smoke Bourboun and Bbq) looked cool on the corner open to street- my friend and I sat down - had 4-5 staff pass us multiple times never made eye contact or asked us if we had been waited on, this includes the bar tender whi was 10 feet away - im patient like atmosphere - it was not busy - we waited 10 min laughing everytime staff would pass us by - got up and left - they dont know we tip really well - plenty of places to spend money Agava bar and grill - sat outside on street late night - food great ( hard to screw up mexican-) my wife says magarita little sweet " ask to tone it down). Service was excellent Jar fly - my favorite - its about a mile and half from the Hotel just down 13 th street easy to get to plenty parking - had my sons graduation dinner here - we r casual people so consider that if u like more Upscale. All suggestions above by the wonderful Amanda and Dustin. Would defintely stay here again.

In town for an event, and found this newer hotel , which was less expensive than other hotels we had stayed in on past visits to Columbus. Parking is good, either on the side of hotel or under parking deck. Bedroom, bath up to date, nice work area, and has in room fridge, and safe. Nice products in bath. My one disappointment was the floors in the room. I am not sure they are cleaned adequately between guest. In the bathroom, a wet wipe was very dirty when I wiped the floor, also socks dirty from just being in the room. If this had not been issue, I would have given an excellent review.

Be careful. Stay on the highest floor. Best chance for quiet rest. Floor construction is paper thin. Building was built using wood/residential floor construction (not concrete) and on lower floors the noise from above is brutal unless the room above is not occupied Property is centrally located in the heart of the downtown. Lots of options for nightlife, meals, etc

I recently stayed here for a work conference and thought overall the hotel was nice. Staff was friendly, great gym, nice roof top restaurant, and my room was clean. I opted for house keeping everyday. My only two comments for feedback is the person that stayed above me, I could hear every move as they walked back and forth across their room. It was like have a bad upstairs apartment neighbor for a few days. So the floors in between rooms aren’t very sound proof. Also, the soaps in the shower smell like an old man’s aftershave. I’m surprised Marriott opted for this scent. Otherwise, this really was an overall nice hotel. Had things nearby that you can walk to such as restaurants and bars. I’m also a big Corepower Yoga fan and it’s just a few blocks away if you’re trying to get a workout in on your visit.

At check in, I was greeted by a very friendly lady in a dress and blazer. She was very helpful. There was another lady in a gray uniform that just stared at me. The gentleman that works overnight was helpful and Justin. Other than that the experience of this hotel was a headache. The hotel is very unorganized. Restaurant and lounge did not open on time, when brought to staff, their reply was "We can't help that, things happen, we're trying our best". The shower was nasty, it had black stuff in it and pink residue, thank goodness I travel with my own cleaning products, but shouldn't have to at a hotel of this price bracket. The shower gel was out and had to request more. Justin was so nice to bring it to our room. We also had to request soap to wash out hands but they were nice to bring it to our room as well. There was trash left over from the previous people who stayed in out room but I just threw it away. After checking out I noticed they overcharged my card. We paid the deposit at check in and noticed they charged me an additional deposit after checkout. This additional charge was not on the bill they sent after I requested a copy, I called and they said they didn't see the extra charge so I ended up having to dispute it with my bank. This was a major headache. We should've stayed at the Indigo, but wanted to give this new place a try, but we know for next time. The only good thing about this establishment is it's location and a few staff members that work here that provide great customer service. They need some work, hopefully they'll get these things worked out.

Booked a 2bed queen room 3 months prior to stay. Arrived at 6pm on check in day and was given a handicapped room. Once I walked into the room I returned to the desk to request a regular room (as that is what I booked). The desk lady had major attitude and even chuckled as if she did not care. She said I was the last person there that night (at 6pm) and there were no rooms left. In the five to 10 minutes I was in the lobby I witnessed multiple people checking in after me. When I asked the lady at the desk, why people were still checking in if there were no rooms, she stated they all had reservations. I told her I had a reservation as well that I had made months prior, and her response was to chuckle again, and say the hotel is full. I went back and spoke with the manager about it the next day, she too could also care less. She said she would get back to me and never did. The closet was miniature, I was unable to hang my dresses that I brought for an event. Instead of a walk in shower there was a dirty old bathtub with a seat screwed into it which seemed a bit hazardous. The beds were a few inches off the floor and the chair in the room was also very small and low to the ground. The mini fridge was on the floor. I was there with my elderly dad who had a difficult time getting up from a low position so this room was a major inconvenience. I had also pointed this out to staff when I spoke with them and they were indifferent. In addition to being given stuck in the wrong room, the hotel was awful in general. It was disgusting, the view was disgusting- there was a dirty abandoned looking building a few feet from the window so the room was always dark. The “hydration station” water tasted like mildew and the machine wasn’t functioning correctly. Their coffee machines are trash and they don’t even have free coffee in the lobby. If you’re looking for a nice hotel this isn’t it!!!!prior to this i stayed at the hotel Indigo which is a few blocks away. It was amazing and they give you food vouchers for their restaurants which are actually open and amazing unlike those at the AC. There is also a Hampton Inn right next door to the AC that is probably a lot better. I will never stay at another Marriott.

Newer hotel in downtown Columbus, conveniently located. The rooms were actually awesome, new, fresh and clean. The hotel staff was friendly and professional. Shout out to Amanda in the bar who was fantastic. I would certainly stay here again.

My wife and I stayed here while visiting our daughter at Auburn. We are platinum Elite Marriott members so we have stayed at a variety of Marriott brand hotels. This hotel is nice for the money. Keep in mind this is a lower tier hotel so no valet, no room service but it is a new hotel. Nice and clean, decent beds and good location. there are lots of restaurants and shops within walking distance. The front desk was very nice and helpful. The only c/o we had was nothing to do with the hotel. To get to the hotel from Auburn U, which is 35 miles away, you have to pass through Phenix City which is super sketchy. However, as soon as you cross the bridge into Columbus, it's like your are in a different world even though you are only couple hundred yards away.

I stayed here for a work trip and loved it. It's located downtown and I could easily walk to coffee in the morning as well as restaurants for lunch and dinner. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. There was construction going on at the hotel and they were extremely accommodating. They let us set up in their business center which was essentially sound proof. I will 100% be staying there when I go back.

Loved loved this hotel! The staff was wonderful, the rooms were clean and spacious and the bar area was fabulous! In a great location. Great walking to the river front and restaurants. The only reason I did not give the hotel a 5 was the breakfast..wasn’t much to it.

I just spent 2 weeks here and fell in love with the staff. First, the hotel is new and has that new boxy type feel with little storage room and smallish rooms. I was lucky to get a corner room with a view of the river, so lucky me! Location is perfect and parking easy. But it's the staff that's makes your time memorable. Every time I walked in I got a hello and smile from EVERY front desk person. That made every long day better. The bar should get its own review... from the one and only Amanda and Ebony to chef Adam (who kills with small plate dishes and conversation) they became my hub for the happy hour to before bed glass of wine. Thank you all for making my stay fun!!!See you soon I hope!

This place is great! The customer service is top notch. I like the design of the hotel rooms, no old ugly carpets, lots of lighting, lots of places to charge your electronics, spacious, lots of pillows on the beds. Very clean. Great neighbors with lots of places to eat within walking distance. Would highly recommend.

Nice, clean and very accommodating hotel. Called very late at night in need of a last minute room. Our current place had roaches, and we needed a clean place to sleep. The front desk staff was very helpful and even found me a discount. Room was immaculate and bed was comfortable. Nice clean lobby and bar area. Thank you Marriott for maintaining a clean and sanitized hotel.
