I was really excited to try the new B. Merrell’s location in Midland. We went on Sunday around 2 p.m. and ordered one smothered chicken lunch portion and one dinner portion. The dinner plate only came with about half a chicken breast more than the lunch and didn’t feel worth the extra cost. Both meals came with the same portion of sides. We chose steamed broccoli, but it had no seasoning and was so undercooked it was difficult to cut with a knife. The mac and cheese was bland, mushy, and even served cold (see photo). The only highlight was the sweet potato waffle fries my grandson ordered—they were good, but they added $1 extra to the dinner. We ate inside, but the seating was very uncomfortable. The chair backs hit awkwardly at my waist and leaned back at an odd angle. On top of that, we were seated near the patio door, where traffic was tight even though the restaurant wasn’t busy. Overall, I left disappointed. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t return or recommend this location. (Photos attached for reference.)

We patronize this restaurant on Black Friday evening in 2023. The service and cleanliness standards were great, but someone in tge food prep area is way too heavy handed with the salt dispenser. Outside of the salads, everything tasted like straight up salt. There are other seasonings besides salt that enhance flavor better and are a lot healthier. Please take a reduction in added salt to your selections seriously. There are salt shakers on individual tables for the hard core salt addicts. Most of us don't want quite that much salt added to our food.
Dietary restrictions: There should be far less salt added to the food.
I was in Columbus on business. Decided to look up a good spot for wings, and this place did not disappoint. I walked in and got a seat immediately at the bar. Ordered a beer and tequila. The glass was nice and frosty, and the shot was just what I needed. Then I ordered 10 wings, hot, crispy, blue cheese, fries. I normally can't finish 10 wings this size but they were so good I didn't even realize I powered right through the whole dish! It was the perfect amount of heat, and they were so crispy, even under all that delicious sauce! The fries were also great, I very rarely clear my plate at any restaurant but I was licking mine here. Great down home restaurant with quality service and good food. Will absolutely be back next time I'm in town.

I got wings half mild half hot. They’re ok. Not good enough to make you want them again. Especially for the price. I didn’t get a single flat. Not ONE. I ordered them crispy and extra wet. The mild wings didn’t have extra sauce at all and the hot ones were just regular. They’re a good size though, but my son refuses to eat them and he loves wings smh. Maybe it’s the sauce. It’s kind of salty. The greens are terrible. There’s no flavor to them. I had wings from this restaurant a few years ago and loved them. They definitely aren’t the same. The young lady that brought my food out was nice though.
Angelia was a fantastic server, we will definitely be coming back and excited for the new location!

We used to eat here many years ago and it was great. This is not the case anymore!! It smelled like a dirty old shoe when you walked inside. So we sat outside trying to give it a chance. The menus had crusty food all over them. We should have walked away then. The wings (jumbo wings) were a joke, not only were they Not jumbo but the were so over cooked they were like leather. The chicken fried chicken was just frozen breaded chicken patties with canned gravy. I can buy better in the freezer section at Walmart. When my husband got a replacement for the crappy wings. He ordered a cheese burger which took awhile and arrived with no cheese.... ugh! The cherry on top was on the way out we saw their score, a 91. No way!!!! They need to scrub the place down, get some new menus, and hire a real chef to guide the cooks. Very very Disappointing 😞

Ordered 6 jumbo wings there were so small and over cooked i couldn't eat them. The food here is not what it used to be so sad.

A great place for Sunday evenings. Dinner was excellent, our table had roterissie chicken salad, wings, onion straws, chicken tenders & 1/2 rotisserie chicken with sides. All was great and the service was exceptional.
