It didn’t feel friendly. The food was extremely cold as if it set all day. The corn and onions mixture was black and old in color. We’ve been in a few times in the last couple of months. Food is always good but just can’t get over the way the place is kept. Food all over the tables and floor. Behind the counter cleanliness is not appetizing. Had to wipe down our own table the last three visits. Employees seem uninterested. Can’t follow simple directions on how to prepare food.

Best place I have eaten at in a long time. It was great and the atmosphere was awesome. We had a nice man fix our food and even talk to me and my husband about football for a while! They played good music as well.

Dirty interior, looked like it hadn't been wiped down in ages.
Observed employee pulling his pants up with gloves on, than used those same gloves to handle peoples food, this was on 06 MARCH 2025.

Food is decent. They go thru staff more often than most people change their socks.

If this wasn't my sons favorite spot to go, I wouldn't return.

I'm kinda mad at myself for not giving them a second chance from awhile back. Ordered a lunch to go for 5 and they absolutely killed it. One of the best lunches for the price that I am truly considering making it a go to weekly. Great job! See yall again soon :)

My son frequents ,and told me to try it, I was not disappointed. The food was very good and was a good amount for the money, got my husband the taco salad,and I had the nachos. Friendly young lady who fixed my food .Had to travel a ways to get to whittlesey location but it was worth it.

Update (8/2/24) - things are definitely improving at this location. Went in today and picked up salad. The tofu was well cooked (yay!) and the spinach was in pretty good shape, as was the rest of the food. Spoke with the Mgr (Sierra) and complemented the improvements, which were noticeable. Hopefully it will continue - have missed my taco salads. (Original Post June 2024) For last few years, Barberitos had been my go-to spot for taco salads w/ spinach and tofu. Unfortunately, over the course of 6 separate visits during the last 4-6 weeks, menu items have not been available, tofu hasn’t been properly cooked (completely squishy isn’t good) and spinach has not been fresh (aka slimy). And the food prep area has been a mess. I sent an email to the owner and have spoken with restaurant team members, to no avail. No improvement. It’s truly a disappointment.

First time eating here. They ran out of certain meats and sides. Beans were hard and uncooked. I did order while there was a rush so kudos to them but they lack teamwork. Lady taking the orders randomly left before me to go to the back , so I had to wait awkwardly until the cashier or the dude decided to take my order. I thought “ okay she probably had to use the restroom “. Minutes later as I’m dining in , she comes out doing a whole different task while there’s a line of people and her coworkers are basically drowning. My point is why isn’t there any organization. Makes sense for a person to take orders, have a lady do sides and cashier and another on the grill and back house. I worked in the restaurant industry and when there’s a rush, there’s no leaving the line. Also why wait for the chicken and steak to be out and then drop chicken on the grill? Why not drop meats when you see that the meats are running low. Overall cheese dip was great.

I just to come to this place and enjoy their food, not anymore. Place was filthy dirty, food everywhere, dirty floor, food doesn't taste good. Employees attitude is horrible. Why they can't clear the counter where the food is located? No idea. Plus they don't have lots of the products available. I ordered my food and couldn't eat it thinking about how dirty this place is.

This location has gone down hill badly. They are always out of ingredients. Their employees have a bad attitude. Online orders are always wrong. Owner is always making excuses about the new manager working to make it better and it’s worse each time we go. After three terrible visits we are done. We will not be back.

The seating area is dirty.Sauces and drinks area is smelly and filthy. It make me wonder what the kitchen looks like. They have four employees working and not one of them bother to address those issues. They were not busy at all. I was there for 45 minutes.The food and customer service was good but dam. 7/8/24
