China Number One Restaurant

This was a horrible visit. First time ever going into this place. Closing time was 9:30p and I came in at 9:10p. They only took my order and not my mates. They wouldn't make my mates order stating closing time was more important.
After all that the food was DISGUSTING!!!!!

Ordered boneless spare ribs with shrimp, received a plate with only rice and shrimp. Called to explain to the worker what happened and she yelled and provided horrible customer service.

Food is great, but the female owner/ employee is ALWAYS rude!

I go to China Number one often. I am use to the lil rude Chinese lady there, thats just how she is. At the end of the day she's gonna get yur order in and keep it moving. My problem is, I ordered Beef Egg Foo Young. Egg Foo Young is supposed to have a light gravy that goes with it, not a sauce. My Egg Foo Young was black, too chewy, and the beef they put in it was horrible. They did not give me gravy, they gave me some super dark sauce. I came back to let them know how I wasnt pleased with my order, of coarse she became defensive and told me that next time I should not order Egg Foo Young. I told her I like Egg Foo young and I know what it is. Dont get irritated with me becus you dont know how to cook it. Well, they dont have to worry about me ordering Egg foo Young from them anymore becus I wont be back.

Rude Chinese lady… shrimp fried rice: 4 shrimps no eggs no vegetables … asked can she exchange for fries, she ignored me. I stood there she said no refunds. I said I don’t want a refund, can you just exchange… lady completely ignored me.

I didn't have the same experience as everyone else, I guess. Yes, it was hot inside but it's hot out and it's a small kitchen. The woman at the register wasn't super talkative but she was SUPER busy.

My food was fine. I had shrimp fried rice, my daughter had chicken fried rice. It just seems like your typical turn and burn chinese place. Mostly take out orders.

On 7/12/24 = I went inside and ordered a small chicken fried rice (overpriced). Past customers are right it is hot'n stuffy inside with no ventilation 😓. When I got home, I noticed the carton had fried rice on the outside half dried, as if though the carton had already been used before 😳. My son tasted it as did I, and noticed the rice was real oily and salty, like as if the cook made fresh rice mixed with old rice and then added extra salt and oil to it 😡. I ended up throwing the whole box in the TRASH. Never again will they get my service. Ima spread the word to family & friends to not ever eat there again...

They are very prejudice! All we did is asked for no MSG a chemical they put in the food and she almost cursed me out and they called me a name at the register. After that I cancelled my order. I have eaten there before and the first time we received the same treatment. Prejudice!! Plus..They dont wear gloves or hair net and not clean in there. Stay away.

One of the better places in Columbus for Chinese cuisine. Just make sure you speak loud and clear because the employees don't understand English very well. Best approach is to order online and pick up your order - Especially due to the lack of air conditioning in the building. Hot hot hot!

If I could give 1 star I would. Walked into the restaurant because the smell of food enticed me, but when walking in it was very dirty and dingy and very hot. I needed a minute to look over the menu that was very old and yellowing. After a few moments I look beyond the counter and seen a huge rat run the sides to under the fryer… I was taken back, and grabbed my daughter and headed out. While we were walking across the parking lot the owner called out to me, but I wasn’t paying too much attention because I was just so disgusted and that I almost ate the food out that place. I definitely would NOT recommend
