Stopped in while we were visiting a friend and glad we did. We ordered at least half the menu 😅. Got 2 chili dogs with fries, 15 wings with fries, a hot plate of hamburger steaks with gravy scalloped potatoes and macaroni and cheese, and a patty melt. 2 homemade slices of cake one Carmel and one pecan pie. Everything we order was delicious. The only thing I would say wasn't perfect was the chicken wings weren't cooked hard enough but they were still good and I forgot to ask for them fried hard. The gentlemen they waited on us were friendly and knew the menu well. Since it was our first time in we had alot of questions. And all that food was less then 60$. Great place would definitely recommend to anyone.

Tried this place out for breakfast and was very disappointed. My boyfriend called the order in and he explained to me that even with calling the order in the food wasn’t ready when he went to pick it up and he also had to get them to remake the Sausage biscuit because they put the egg on it. I would have hated to see what the original biscuit looked like but the one I received the top part was burnt and there was barely a bottom part to the biscuit. I doubt they actually remade the biscuit just took the egg off and slapped it back together cause that’s what it looked like. So i ate the sausage and grits and nothing won me over as far as taste. My boyfriend got the big breakfast he was more so satisfied than I was. He also had the red velvet pancakes they looked very flat and just made with red food coloring. When I asked how they were he said they were “ok” . I’m assuming this must’ve been a bad day for them I’ve had their dinner once but I most definitely won’t be returning for breakfast.

I dont usually leave reviews but this is my 3rd time giving this place a try since they have been on University ave. Unfortunately, I dont have pictures or proof of my past experiences. I gave them another try today because breakfast was over everywhere else. I noticed very quickly that the service was the exact same from each time that I have entered. It seems unorganized and lacks professionalism as far as being a restaurant. Im not trying to downplay the place because my food was really good this time compared to my previous times, but the customer service is lacking. The guy seems to be himself but its not warm nor professional to me. I guess if you like it you do and if you dont you dont. If youre in a hurry, you may wanna order through doordash. Ask for a receipt as well because my total was 30.51 when the menu prices for what I got were $10, $10 and $4 ..EVEN. I just gave what he asked and got my food. This was not the first time for that either so now I know to go somewhere else. The taste of the food has to match the service, the wait, and the money spent for me. I dont have money for anybody else to play with in my face. Thanks for the good food this time, and there are other reviews with the same issues. I just hope this is taken as constructive criticism. There are nice people in the place, you just have to catch the food at the right time and check your prices.

Ordered a pork chop sandwich, it look good, smelled amazing, it was 90 percent fat and crust. The pork chop was so small and thin, I was so disappointed.

The food is great don’t get me wrong. But I went in there today for my regular french toast breakfast with no drink. On the menu it’s say 12 for the breakfast. But when I went to pay I saw that it said $19.48? They didn’t make any sense. And multiple times that I’ve gone to the establishment they don’t tell me the total they just say” go ahead and tap for me”. They don’t even tell me the total. There was another time where I got a $5.00 breakfast sandwich and then they charged me bout $16. I love the food there but the service needs to be more consistent, efficient, as well as more professional.

If your looking for that down home; taste just like Mama made it southern cuisine; this is the place for you. Can't miss with breakfast, lunch or dinner. The hot dogs were superb and the cakes are too die for. 10 out of 10 definitely recommend.

I can not believe the food I received from Dells. The food is normally ok but I guess they were having a bad day today. The pancake were not cooked good. I asked for no cheese in the eggs and a sausage patty but instead got bacon. I will not visit this establishment again.
