Loved the table we were seated at where we could see the river. The food was good, nothing outstanding but our group of 5 all enjoyed their meal. The steaks were not a proper temperature, and the portions were not equal. I would still go back there for a lot of good reasons.
The Easter special and mimosas were great. My husband's burger was not put together well and didn't taste like it was seasoned. We waited for refills often and utensils. The server was polite but seemed to be overwhelmed or needing help. There were two large groups and a couple smaller parties so naturally it would have been hard for one person. I hope this was an off day as the location is great. The people next to us ordered basic breakfast items and were also waiting quite a while.
Location on the river view was amazing. We had an outside table on a beautiful evening. Food was Southern and done well. Overall all a very pleasant evening.
We went the night after Valentines. It was a Saturday and can only get a reservation for 530. The restaurant is in the hotel indigo lobby. It's not necessarily closed off from the lobby so it kind of feels like a part of the lobby. We were served immediately. we started with the crab hush puppies that came with a green goddess dressing. The hush puppies were really good. I didn't really care for the green goddess dressing, but I've never been a fan. My husband loved it. I got a glass of wine and my husband had one of the most delicious smoky old-fashioneds we've ever had. Highly recommend. For dinner I ordered the trout over a vegetable patty. My husband had the filet with cheese fries. We also got a side of creamed corn and collard greens. They creamed corn was amazing especially for this time of year. It tasted fresh and I don't know where they found good fresh corn. The collard greens were definitely seasoned well and some of the best I've had in Columbus. My husband‘s filet was medium rare and cooked absolutely perfect. Very tender and seasoned very nicely. The fries were good, better than average. For dessert we had the bread pudding. It was good. Wasn't one of my favorite desserts I've ever had but I would recommend it if you love bread pudding. Overall, I would highly recommend this place and we plan on going back.
The waiter, Collin, was awesome, thoughtful, and accommodating. The restaurant itself was beautiful with a stunning view of the Chattahoochee River. What was disappointing was the food. The cream corn was stringy. The smashed potatoes were underwhelming. The gnocchi was very bland, under seasoned, and just slightly undercooked. The pork chop was overcooked, making it very dry. The crispy Brussels sprouts had a pleasant spicy sauce but otherwise, were not “crispy” as advertised in the menu. Our evening started off quiet and romantic but the influx of teens who appeared to be with a traveling group changed that drastically, as the night went on. If I come back, it will be to enjoy one of the house-made beverages but not to eat.
Beautiful view of the river and easy valet parking. Inside Indigo Hotel. Fish and chips were great. The chopped salad was a regular salad not chopped at all and had limited toppings (1 cherry tomato cut in half, 2-4 strips of some kind of pickled vegetable, 3 pickles, a few slices of fresh avocado. Ordered chopped salad with brisket. Brisket cut was almost entirely inedible fat but the little bit of meat was good. Clam chowder was a brothy version rather than the creamy version. We were looking forward to the crackers with pimento cheese and brie but they were out of this item, which also meant the chowder lacked crackers. Staff members were very friendly and I would go back again but order differently.
We wanted to eat somewhere new. I expected a more "restaurant" feel, but it wasn't terrible since it was a slow night. I could not imagine eating there if it was busy (with the current setup). Very limited menu (and was out of the dish I really wanted, the Crispy Smoked Chicken. It is strange to have to order and pay for sides separately (not included in meals, especially for the prices) We ordered the following: Redfish Scarlett - was really good. Cream Corn as side. Bone-In Berkshire Pork Chop - (a little dry, could have been cooked a little less)with broccolini Crispy Brussels appetizer - (a little spicy for my taste, but still really good). Chattahoochee River Bread - a little grainy (like corn meal) and a sweetened butter. Wasn't good enough to take the leftover pieces home with us. Broccoli cheese soup - probably best we've had in town. We might go back to try some other items from the menu, but definitely not if they are busy as seating is lacking.
Great food and the service was amazing. Everyone ordered something different and we all were very happy.
Not very impressed for a number of reasons. We ordered cocktails and an appetizer, which were both fine. However, after we finished, our server asked whether we wanted another set of dining utensils since we had used the first set. We said yes and they brought another set, but they never removed the first ones. This means that we both had two sets of utensils crowding our table, and our table was not that big. The actual food was pretty good, though my quail was barely big enough to call an entrée. The wine pours were acceptable, though just barely. In summary, the waitstaff seem somewhat inexperienced and insufficiently trained in proper etiquette.
We stayed at the Hotel Indigo and decided to order food from Denim & Oak and have it delivered to our room. The lady who answered the phone was extremely rude. I tried asking questions about the menu and she was no help. We ended up ordering biscuits and gravy and these are the exact opposite of southern style biscuits and gravy. The biscuits were almost flat and burned all around the edges. They were more like crackers than biscuits. And they gave us almost no gravy on top. My wife just ate the center part of her biscuits because the edges were so crunchy and burnt.
We are coming back to the hotel in February so I’ll update my review. It’s possible it was just a bad day for some of the employees.

Very underwhelming experience. Service was slow, messy, and inaccurate. Food was reasonable, but nothing special.
Choose another option.

I had business guests from out of town and decided to go here for dinner with our other options booked for the evening. We arrived for our 5:30 reservation and were promptly seated, noticing no one else in the dining area. The waitress arrived at the table and took our drink orders. After delivering drinks, we were informed that there was only one filet left. Fortunately, the others in the party didn't want steak, but how do you start a dinner service with only one filet. The service was great and the food was excellent. We enjoyed our visit, but I can't give 5 stars due to menu limitations.

If I could rate my experience today with zero stars, I would. We had the worst experience today at Denim & Oak Riverfront Restaurant by Hotel Indigo. My husband, my son and I went for brunch at 10:30 AM. There was a 10 minute wait before we were seated. After being seated, we placed out order immediately. We received our drinks shortly after. Other large parties came 30 minutes after we placed our order and received their food promptly. Our waitress never came back to check on us. After waiting for over an hour we never received our food! I had to ask the hostess to give us the check for our drinks and to cancel our order because I couldn't find the waitress. Then we had to wait another 15 minutes for the manager to void out our drinks in which we were willing to pay for so that we could just leave. The manager came out but never spoke to us directly. He only spoke to the hostess. Another waitress apologized and offered to cover the cost of what we ordered. However, we would have to wait additional time while the food was prepared after we had already waited over an hour to be served. Completely unacceptable. It was 12:10 PM when we left, hungry! Awful and poor service from top to bottom.

A disappointingly mediocre breakfast that was overpriced and lightly portioned. All three members of my breakfast party were disappointed with their meals. Brisket was fatty and rubbery. Hamburger was bland. Coffee was watered down.
Come for the views, and then walk the waterfront instead of staying for food.
