As a previous reviewer said, this is nothing like what is on their website. We decided to eat here after seeing the menu online, which is a full-service type menu with several good-looking options. Unfortunately, we looked at the "star rating" but didn't read the actual reviews. So when we got there, we were surprised to see it was an option of either a burger or chicken strips served with potatoes wedges. The options for beverage were water or $3.00 for lemonade. There was also the opportunity to spend over $5.00 for a tiny slice of cheesecake, which we declined.Even choosing the water option, we spent over $75.00 for the 5 of us to eat mediocre pre-cooked food served out of buffet-style warming dishes. The burgers didn't even have the advertised cheese. Do not waste your time.
Not open when it showed open online. Was told by staff working the museum they just decided not to open that day because they didn't feel like it.Make sure you call before you go
We came down for our son’s graduation and, due to the limited food options on the post, we were excited to read the menu and descriptions on the restaurant’s website. So, we were shocked to find out that we had saved our appetites for an ACTUAL menu of chicken fingers dredged in salt OR a hamburger, either served with a literal handful of French fries. I actually asked about the menu online and was told that this actual menu was the only one available because, “we serve mostly tours and soldiers”. There was a salad bar option for $12, which consisted of a serving bowl of mixed greens, some sparse additions, and your standard Italian or Ranch dressing. There was no drink menu, either. Just water, lemonade, or an orange drink that came with your meal. All of this ran us about $60 for four people (we opted out of the “salad bar”).We went to Saxby’s for supper and got better options for half of the price. This restaurant should really update their website and stop fooling people into planning their meal there. If we had known, we would have eaten before coming to the museum.
The food was really good. At first we started to leave because a large group was coming in. We were afraid of the wait time. All went well and we were in and out in a reasonable time. Service was good considering the crowd. The Chili Cheese Fries were huge! Food was amazing.
We were visiting the National Infantry Museum and decided to stay there and eat lunch at the Fife and Drum Restaurant. Great atmosphere and food. Awesome server named Christy. She was very attentive and stopped by the table multiple times to check on us and make sure that we had everything that we needed. Worth your time to visit this amazing Museum as well as take in lunch at the Fife and Drum.
Nice hidden gem! Unbeatable atmosphere inside the NIM and great views over looking the grounds. Great burgers and other American food. Excellent craft beer too. Minutes for Ft Benning gate. Rarely busy. What more can I say? it’s a great spot.
The food is delicious, the staff are great and kind and the price is good!! I had Chicken fried chicken and it was delicious!
We had a great lunch and the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive! Prices were responsible as well. Great place to take a break after touring the museum! The restaurant needs more advertising in the Museum area!
In all honesty, If I ever get the chance to visit N.I.F. again I will definitely pass on dinning at "The Drum and Fife". The service was in a work acceptable. The food on the other hand, especially the fried food not so much. The green tomato fries did not come close to looking anything like french fries and were so greasy you could squeeze the grease out of them. They ran out of french fries and offered a "premium upgrade" as a substitute . I ordered onion rings. When they came to the table there was only four rings. Unless you really need the experience I would pass and go to one of the nearby burger joints, twice the food, half the money
My family was at Fort Benning to visit my son. We went to the NIM which is an amazing place by it self. We had three kids with us so naturally they got hungry! We ate lunch at the Fife & Drum restaurant at the museum. They were very unexpectedly busy that day but our waitress Christy went above and beyond to give us great service. They ran out of a few items that we wanted, but she continuously let us know and gave us suggestions of other options we could have. I appreciate the great service and the constant communication! The food was great as was the service. Can't wait to visit again!Kudos to Christy!

This place a great restaurant! Excellent service and food. I highly recommend this hidden gem and can't wait to go back again! Definitely worth it! Ask for Christy, she's so awesome and attentive and friendly. Their RLTW Burger was sinfully delicious and everything a good ol fashioned American burger should be!
Delicious burger! Little pricey for burger but it’s to be expected as restaurant inside free museum. Server was great!
Mouth Watering entrees and the entire staff is top notch
Great food. Excellent customer service
Christy did an amazing job as our waitress while I was visiting the NIM on family day to pick up my cousin. The fish tacos were very well made and the fries were the optimum level of crispiness. Not to mention Yuengling on tap. Can't go wrong, would highly recommend.
