TikTok brought me in Tuesday for lunch. The employees and atmosphere were great. The food was quite tasty just needs to ease up on the salt.

Pretty friendly n quick, cordial. Food pretty good but inconsistent. Good portions and rotates at times. Cake Tea and mac n cheese usually pretty good. But meat changes day to day. Last few visits battered pork chop was a bit chewy and meatloaf too salty. Would love a veggie plate but the veggie broth between cabbage green beans and greens are very similar. I’d visit more if more consistent, I wouldn’t even mind a more limited daily menu if that could improve.

I went yesterday and got 2 dark chicken with sides. Oh my; the food was so good. There's another soul food restaurant with a location in Columbus and Phenix City. (I won't say who as not to be rude) Well the last time we got food from them a few weeks ago it was so nasty. The greens were salty, the yams tasted liked souped up canned yams. The candied yams here were actually made correctly. I could smell the nutmeg when I opened my container. The mixed peas were so yummy and the the baked chicken was seasoned with fresh herbs.. not seasoning salt and more salt. Please support this small business!
